QUARANZINE #6
QUARANZINE #6 is now complete. For this issue of my ongoing one-page zine in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, I looked to my collection of CB radio QSL cards for inspiration, and wrote a little about paper trails from ephemeral forms of communication. Jordan Smith, you get a shout out in this one.
It has been a while since I’ve put my scanner to use for this Tumblr so I’m going to post some more samples from the boxes of QSL cards. QSL cards are postcards produced and exchanged by CB radio operators. This is an undated card for Cix Pak and Mini Pak in Houston, Texas. You can pick up the Public Collectors and 73sand88s collaborative booklet on QSL cards that Jordan Smith authored here. It focuses on cards from Washington State.
The only thing that hasn't failed my today is my #4Runner and this @tatuajeinc #Negociant. Happy #104 everyone, #73s from #Sparky783 #cigar #NowSmoking #TatuajeThursday (at Portland, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bohjnp6levu/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=u8jwdcmn5teu
