For some reason the idea of the grist being used as a kind of fertilizer for Skaia is actually really cool to me. It's a neat way to at least somewhat keep the Sburb game mechanics relevant by recontextualizing some of them, especially the building and grist since we know about the vast hoards of resources the characters have acquired and this actually makes that amount to something after it became increasingly irrelevant. And it also, fittingly, feels like something right out of a game, having to feed resources into a construct to maintain a central structure. I'm thinking fixing decay in Rust and stuff like that.

so odd that out of almost nowhere the story just said "Alright, it's fucking SPRITE HYBRID TIME BITCHES". not odd bad, they've been fun. just like. huh??
