Chapter 10 Response
I thoroughly enjoyed chapter 10 as it highlighted some amazing illustrators that have different career backgrounds and somehow found their way to illustration. I find it interesting to hear about the many different career paths that these artists took to end up in illustration. Michel Bouvet designing the posters for the photography festival took a different route than I would have ever thought of. Doing a pop art poster rather than photography was risky but it paid off. I think this thought process is what differentiates artists to make some more successful than others. Up until Mirko Ilic I had not zoomed in on an artist's work but I found his work so fascinating that I looked at his work for minutes zooming in on different sections to examine each aspect of his illustrations.
