Tom Hulce as Mozart, from the dictation scene - Amadeus (1984, dir. Miloš Forman) - (x)
He and Liotta are touring several cities to promote the film drama. And it`s hard not to notice that they behave an awful lot, well, like brothers-like brothers who really like each other. But like a lot of `80s kind of guys who`ve been told that it`s really okay to be friends with other guys, it may be thousands of generations of macho chromosomes that make them appear not entirely comfortable with the reality. Declarations of mutual respect are almost always followed by an emotional disclaimer-a joke, uproarious laughter, a punch in the arm.
For instance, unlike many costars who travel separately to promote their own performances in a film, Hulce and Liotta say they`re disappointed they`ll be promoting the movie together in only a few cities before being split up to cover more territory separately. "We wanted to do the whole tour together," Hulce said. Liotta expressed the same sentiment and said he really prefers touring together. Why?
"Because I love Tom."
A second or two passed, then the tension was broken by an explosion of laughter and arm-punching. Whew, that was close. It almost sounded like they had a friendship there, for heaven`s sake.

I can't believe THIS is the reason why there are literally only 2 press tour photos with them together. Because of the 80s Macho 'No homo' bullshit jesus fuckn christ They actually split them up against their will? Why? Because they love eachother too much?? Bromance was illegal?? They had them live together for 6 weeks before filming for them to bond... then they forced them to split up??? Wtf Man I am FURIOUS
The scene that almost took me out, I was holding my breath at His Holy Hotness, have mercy my king
