Slumber
Note: Just a random Lena x Shin drabble. Bored at work haha ought to make an NSFW one but meetings started even before I reach that point of the story T A T
The sun shone brightly after the harsh rain that night. Lena was woken up by the sound of the chirping birds and a ray of light from the window, indicating the weather is great and she should be preparing for work. Wait, what work? She thought to herself.
Half asleep, she rolled to her side trying to wake herself up completely. She had a very good slumber, can’t deny that. 5 more minutes then I’ll get up. Groaning softly, she closed her eyes trying to search for the lead to sleep. But it all flew out of the window when she felt a strong arm on her stomach, trying to pull her closer to whoever it was. His broad and toned chest was pressed against her back, emitting heat that reached her cheeks and ears. Or what she thought the cause was.
She turned her head to look at the person hugging her because for fuck’s sake, she doesn’t know who it is, only to see a pair of closed eyes, too comfortable of the situation. She didn’t have to fully turn her head to recognize who it was and if ever she did, she would be exploiting the man, it will be sexual harassment, our lips would touch for sure! Nah, she just hoped it would happen right there and then.
She tried to fan her face as if it would help her calm herself and ease her fast-beating heart. Come on, Lena. Think. Think of a way to get out of this situation goddamnit instead of you enjoying this. Did she just scold herself for enjoying him hugging her from behind?
Her train of thought was interrupted when she was pulled, successfully, closer to the man’s chest as he snuggled ever so close into the crook of her neck, breathing softly.
“Just a little longer, Major.” She blushed at the statement yet obliged.
She heaved a deep breath and sighed softly with a smile on her lips. Accepting the situation and thinking that they both deserve this basking, appreciate each other’s presence. After all, they had a rough road tracked behind them but they still took it for the sake of their dreams. Now, they were getting closer to it, together, they ought to do it together.
After a long while, she turned to face him.
“I hope you had a good sleep despite invading your personal space, Shin?” She asked him that made him open his eyes slowly and stare into her breathtaking gaze. Beautiful as always, he thought to himself.
“As far as you’re not aware, Major. I had the best slumber last night.” Not sure if it was because of her presence or the rain that made it too comfortable to sleep in. Either way, he doesn’t mind having her in what she calls personal space because it makes him feel at ease whenever she is around.
He smiled at her seeing the redness of her ears going to her cheeks, cute, he thought as he hoped he would see it everyday.
