Lol, I did that in my second year of uni! Must be a second year curse, or something...what worked for me was putting a very deep brown, almost black, over the top of it. It ended up fading and going a kind of nice, reddish light brown, which I just grew out. (It kind of looked like an unintentional ombre for a while, which was an added plus.) If you have the funds, though, I'd recommend going to a pro about it. Good luck!
As a student...ZERO funds :( I'm going to go and pester the hairdressers about cutting my fringe today so I'll ask them. Tempted to just go for dark brown and live with the consequences!
Actually, 'college' in the UK is only the last two years of school, from ages 16-18. Before that is 'secondary' or 'high school'. So you'd be in your last year of high school right now. :)
Where I live, it's the last three years actually. I am a year younger anyway since I skipped a class. I have no idea what to call it, so I call it college. *shrugs*
