I mean gimme creepy dark foggy London. Overcast gloomy countryside and yeah add color when appropriate. It lacked horror, but like weird off putting eeriness that would make it so much more interesting. He deals with demons, ghosts, ghoulies and nasties. The whole series tone felt wrong and nothing new was being done. It was bleh

I KNOW RIGHT? I got through three episodes because they did do an episode about the demon made up of flies that made people consume anything and everything until they died (from like the comics). I enjoyed that but like the rest was bleh. Casting though was good, I liked Zed and Constantine actors. They did good there just the rest. 

Also Hannibal and Penny Dreadful have spoiled me for horror/drama shows. Tv is visual so why not use it?

It also bothered me it was immediately US centric. Like yeah have him travel a bit but not the entire show. Ugh. And also the angels were generic, from what I saw. Like Hellboy up that shit. Get creative with creature and demon design. I know it’s possible a budget thing but fuck. WHY

It’s a bit slow in the beginning. I watched the first four episodes awhile back and just like today finished six episodes. lol so I enjoyed it. It’s lovely to see non European historical tv series. It’s also by Netflix! I definitely say check it out whenever you can!
