New baby kitten

So here's the thing. I got a 8 week old baby kitten. She's the most precious thing in the world. I've had resident cat, Dublin..for 2 years. (That's crazy..) anyways.. Dublin is a very laid back cat. She snuggles, when she wants, and is generally a great cat. She doesn't scratch or bite, and I love her immensely. Since bringing kitten home, we have kept Dublin & kitty in separate rooms. It has been three days, and I like to believe I see a difference, but I'm not sure. Dublin still has her moments of hissing and she really does seem sadder. I feel like a bad mom, cause I just want my cat to be happy. I've been reading all sorts of articles, but any personal advice would be nice. I want both of my cats to be able to live in a peaceful environment, and eventually maybe get to a point where they enjoy each other's company? Girl cats are bitches.
