Happy 9th of May! :_D
Yesterday was a big day the USSR took fagotry regime down, so I invited my grandma’s friend to a restaurant, as I do every year ;d
b today I visited my friend & saw dat poster on her wall. I told her if she doesn't take it down, I'm taking her whole community project down she's an architect btw and somehow invested in this Jim Jones style "positive community paradise" with 300 families trying to escape negativity... sounds dystopian ^^^ huh?!
I'm at the part in my jigsaw puzzle where I just have to fit together a whole lot of yellow. There is a bit of a gradient to it, but not much. Some pieces I can confidently say are either meant to fit in vertically or horizontally, but for many it could go either way.
This is methodically attempting to fit in one piece after the next, until you find the winner, ding ding ding!
And I love it.
It's fun.
There is some searching you can do if the knob or socket you're looking for has a distinct shape, but if it is rather general? Then it's just going from left to right. It's luck-based then. Sometimes it's among the first few, sometimes you're at the last row before you find it. Sometimes you've tried so many different ones that you're convinced it must have gotten lost. Until one clicks right into place and you wonder where it's been.
I love it.
9 May 2026, Dublin
being unbelievably ill on my birthday is a curse and i am forced to suffer through it
on the other hand the book that I've been waiting for AGES to read is finally here from the library so at least something good comes out of being practically bedridden
9 May
There is no need to criticize me - this day is important in the history of almost the entire world.
I remember stories about this war from childhood. A few years ago, my great-grandfather, who fought in the war, died. And my great-grandmother celebrated her 97th birthday. She was 13 when the war began. They told me a lot about it. Even as a little girl, not understanding half the words, I saw the same thing in their eyes: fear. I don't wish this horror on anyone.
I'm afraid I've overstepped the mark on this platform, but I won't apologize either. Our history is a part of me too. The Russian spirit is essentially simple: we double the good and return the evil tenfold. Neither I nor many of us want wars. While the memory is fresh, there should be no talk of anything else.
Happy Victory Day, Guys! 🎉🎉🎉
