Today was a special day for the computer scientist, he had taken himself a day off work just for this. It had been no problem to do so, after all, Dr.Chandra had more free time now since his students were off for spring break. Packing a small basket with a blanket, a few beverages for him and a couple of snacks for later, Dr.Chandra looked pleased as everything was ready for take off, so to speak.
He would get into his car and drive straight to the place where Hal had decided to live after the Discovery had returned to Earth. He had been a little hesitant to let Hal go at first, living on his own like that, but at the same time, it wasn't fair towards the AI to keep him caged up at his side all the time, like a mother hen. It surely would help Hal to grow as a person as well. Dr. Chandra had always been worried about Hal and the only thing that gave him somewhat of a relief in this situation was, that Sal and Cal were with him and could watch over him if needed.
The drive to Hal`s place didn't took long thankfully and when he had arrived, Dr.Chandra closed his eyes for a moment before stepping out, collecting his thoughts. He had planned out their little day together from the beginning to the end and hoped Hal would enjoy what Chandra had up on his sleeve for him. Walking over to the house his children were living in, he knocked politely, waiting until the door opened.
He wore a casual outfit today, consisting of his trademark turtleneck sweater and a pair of khaki colored pants. He also sported a sports cap which gave him a certain “dad” look. It was sort of intended, he couldn’t lie.
