“Not your best idea, getting us to drink before going down the mountain,” Iruka remarked as he followed Kakashi along the narrow path. “No one forced you to say yes,” Kakashi replied simply. Iruka grumbled under his breath, unable to deny the jonin had a point. If his thighs had burned on the way up, now it was his calves screaming on the way down. “As soon as we’re back in Konoha, I’m heading straight to Ichiraku for two extra-large pork miso bowls,” Iruka declared. “Ambitious,” Kakashi said without turning around. “And after that, an onsen. Until my muscles forget they ever climbed this damn mountain.” Kakashi slowed just enough for his voice to carry closer. “With a program like that, you could easily convince someone to join you.”
