Photographer in the making

During the summer (2017) I had another go at Portrait and Street Photography. Whilst roaming the streets of London, returning to Shoreditch & Peckham. I felt much more confident with my camera (Canon 1300d). I knew what I wanted from the photo and paid closer attention to the composition of my Subject. Here are some of the best ones taken below.

I was out with my Beautiful Model Temi and she had a lot of patience with me gave me some amazing photos. Street Photography , The outdoors, calm and natural environments has always been my focal enjoyment and norm when it comes to the background of my subjects.

The cool tones of the street art compliments every skin tone. Its the rich celebration of Colour that I love.

I’m not complacent and there is always room for improvement. Back to the drawing board with these.

We also visited Tate Modern to see an exhibition called ‘Soul of a nation’. It was Incred, I was extremely impressed on Exhibition as a whole and enjoyed there deliverance on topics sensitive to society. E.g. Civil Rights movements. History of Blacks people’s struggle to Freedom and a voice in America specifically.

All about my Braids SUMMER 2017 Its been almost 3 years since I had Box braids in. The last time I had them was at the beginning of Sixth form Year 12. Forgot how long the process was in getting then installed :(.

Really considering shaving my hair off again!!?...

Extensions = pissing me off, the length of my real hair = pissing me off... Reminiscing about having no hair = not pissing me off... What should I do?! Hmmmmm?

Also known as Patra braids, Solange braids, big braids, box braids, dookie braids and Poetic Justice braids..lol A long list of names for sure!

I think Patra or Sheneneh braids better suits mine.

I ADORE them! Some people don’t like big braids but I sure do!!!! I prefer them over small braids.

Sheneneh pictured below in her all her ratchet glory.

I was tryna look like Brandy! I LOVE her twists and how she styled them!!!! She is so pretty<3

Word in the streets is that Jamaican dancehall singer Patra is the originator of these big braids. She allegedly started sporting them in the 90s first.

Now time for some more braids inspiration from Angela Simmons, Queen Bey, Brandy, Keri Hilson, The Okpo Sisters, Solange, Janet Jackson, Eva Marcille and Jhene Aiko. I got these pics via Google image search and I went absolutely HAM..lol

I am just gonna rock braids all summer. Not so my hair can grow but because I don’t feel like doing my hair. It’s either rock braids or shave all my hair off…lol I don’t feel like dealing with my hair.
