Over the course of the past three years or so, as I’ve doodled my way through pads of PostIt Notes, I’ve never really thought about what my “style” is. I’ve just done it. Sometimes, I try to recreate something someone else has done, or tried to emulate the way other artists work. I find that I keep coming back to the same way of doing things. Last year, I had approached a group of artists who have a Tumblr that produces fan art, to see if they accepted random pieces. They reviewed some of my work, and discussed it amongst themselves. Later, I saw that discussion. In it, they talked about how my work has a soft quality. They ultimately asked to join them. Turns out, I’m not unhappy with that description. Whether, it’s because I tend to use harder pencils, or just...the way it comes out of my hand...I think I’ve found my style. . . . #day11 #30faces30days #luisaviles #91of365 #drawingeveryday #365DaysofDrawing #postitnoteart #march #artistsofinstagram #pencil #sktchy #sktchyapp
