13. How do they greet the world — what is their typical attitude towards life? How does it differ in different circumstances, or towards different subjects? Why do they take these attitudes, and why do they change? How do these tend to be expressed?

fisher’s attitude towards life is very......... hiveminded? like he thinks that he needs essentially a bunch of multiple hims... working towards some unknown purpose... he doesn’t really think as deep / existentially as to be like “what’s the meaning of life” etc as he just... it’s hard to explain but he’s basically driven by some goal (aka the bacteria are driven by that goal) to occupy the ocean w bacterial humans... why? not even he knows he just feels it Needs To Happen

18. What kind of person could they become in the future? What are some developmental paths that they could take, (best, worst, most likely?) what would cause them to come to pass, and what consequences might they have? What paths would you especially like to see, and why?

{in standing w human morality}: best path= fisher decides to adapt himself to human totally and live above water, growing slowly but surely understanding of human nature again & finding his always-optimistic attitude enables him to work well with othersworst path= fisher keeps trying to use humans for his selfish desires & grows frustrated that everything doesn’t work out exactly for him like he feels it’s supposed to, once he learns that humans aren’t as ideal / great as he thought they’d be he’s miserable & wants to die most likely (aka end of canon)= fisher never really grows negatively or positively; he just... exists as a bacterial human but grows more & more desensitised / drawn to the sea, determined to recreate his life from before he died
