OK people let’s play detectives!

I think the members went to Dalian in China (at least at first, I’m not sure if they had another flight after that but from Dalian, it seems unlikely).

Why do I think that? 

Because I investigated Instagram pictures from Joonyoung’s stylist hahaha!!

The first picture on top is from a post she wrote, the second is a screenshot of her Instagram Stories, both taken today (see the date on the bottom left corner). On the first pic you can see she’s taking an Asiana Airlines flight (flight number starts with OZ...). On the screenshot you can see a big “17″ which is the hour number of the boarding time (see 3rd picture, a random Asiana Airline ticket found online, as reference).

I checked on Incheon Airport’s website which Asiana Airlines flights departed between 17:00 and 18:00 this afternoon and as you can see on the 4th picture, there were only 9 of them.

The last step of my investigation was to record and watch frame by frame the Instagram Story to try and get a better view of the flight number. Unfortunately, I could not distinguish anything but “77″.... As it turns out though, there was only 1 flight with consecutive 7s and it’s the one going to Dalian!

Why does it make sense?

Because during season 1, when the members went to the top of Mount Baekdu at the border between China and North Korea, they took a boat from Incheon to the same peninsula where Dalian is. On the survey the staff prepared for the 10th anniversary, one of the questions was “For you, which moment/trip was the most memorable from 1N2D these past 10 years?”. I remember the staff asked similar questions to viewers in past seasons and the answer was usually either the trip to Mount Baekdu or one of the trips to Dokdo island. 

All things considered, it would make sense for them to go back to Mount Baekdu and reflect about the past 10 years of the show and to see how the relationship with North Korea has evolved since then. Also, there is a huge korean speaking community in northern China and it would be meaningful to meet some of these people and get to know about their lives.

The only thing that could debunk my whole theory is that unless the plane was late, the boarding time for a flight leaving at 17:00 shouldn’t start with 17...

In which case, maybe I saw wrong and the flight number was two consecutive 1s which would mean the flight to Osaka!

Or you know, Joonyoung’s stylist could be on vacation and NOT be leaving with the 1N2D crew.... XD
