I'm glad you wrote about the KBS San-bias striking again because I was going to ask you if you thought the favoritism was still as obvious as some of the other KBS content they've been on! 1N2D and the members I think both said that the members got to choose their characters, and I try not speculate when things are explicitly said like this, but I wonder how true this is? For Seonghwa, I 100% believe it. Dude is such a nerd /positive. But I wonder, given how popular the Grand Duke look is in Korea, if they asked San to do a character with this look or recommended this look to him. Because one of the producers, when the teaser first dropped, posted what the members characters were on their Instagram story and for San they just put Choi San lol.

I'm going to tack on a rant about the way Mingi was treated on to this, after I answer your actual comment. Apologies in advance.

So Yunho Spiderman, and Jongho, Yeosang and Wooyoung's choices all fit what I know they like. I also agree that Seonghwa would've very much wanted to wear the Anakin suit. Mingi I think wanted to wear the sunglasses - he looks amazing.

San is the breakout star, and it's a chicken and egg question. Do they push him forward because he's the breakout star, or is he the breakout star because that one persona he and KQ developed really made KBS want to push him as the breakout star??

But yeah. Choi San is slowly but surely getting more famous just on his own.

And now my Mingi rant:

I really. So, Studio K San Bias contingent is either being suppressed by the came-late-but-better-than-never Mingi advocacy people OR they saw the light and they're being better about Mingi. As someone who didn't fully "get" Mingi until she saw him 8,000 kms away from home (in Los Angeles), I really can't come down on them too hard about this (pot kettle etc) but -

I am sorry to report that they're still being bitchy to Mingi and only him in a way that they don't do to others.

The full text says: "The Next Treasure of the Sea Makes His Appearance". But do you see how 다의 and 배 are in fainter colored font so that it reads as 다음 바[ ]보 등장.

바보 = fool/ stupid.

They did this complicated little bitchy thing so they could call Mingi stupid for not being able to play their game which involved reading really fast and doing written wordplay, which we all know (and they do too, because he's been on this show SO MANY TIMES) are things Mingi struggles with.

And it's not ONLY Mingi that struggles with this game: Jongho got all the syllables but COULD NOT put the word puzzle together. They don't call him stupid/ fool/ babo for this (They say, Oh the myth of the 150 IQ is destroyed which is NOT THE SAME THING). Hongjoong saw literally nothing, because he was too busy freaking out on the ride, and he just makes up a nonsense answer, but they don't call him babo-dumbass for that either.

Just Mingi. Who was being funny and cute and along with Wooyoung, making the whole episode pop and filled with energy.

SIGHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Studio K PLEASE PLEASE do better.
