hey guys, lil update. I know I said I was only taking a couple weeks off, but I came out of exams and got home bone tired, slept for a weekend, and went right back to work. I’ve been working 40+ hours a week, trying to get commissions done in between, avoiding family conflict, and sleeping as much as I can.

there have been some very very bad days lately. thursday night was the worst night I’ve had all year. today was not super great either — I messed something up and then an artist who is one of the biggest influences on my art was diagnosed with stage four cancer, so it kind of feels like everything is falling apart around me every other day.

so. I’m still going to be inactive during the holiday, I hope you understand. I’m going to try my best to get drafts done before I go back to school, and I’m considering moving Tahl from her blog to here for better management of my drafts. We’ll see. I’ve got a lot of things I want to do, but everything is really crazy right now and I kind of just need a little break.

“What do you mean?” Lucy asks, even though she’s QUITE certain she knows what Susan means. 

Do you think I’m only the pretty one? Do you think there’s a reason I can’t remember Narnia like you? Do you think that’s why Aslan told me I couldn’t come back, not because I’m too old?

She shifts in her train seat so she’s sitting with her knees drawn up, facing towards Susan with her back to the window. They’re very nearly back to the station, to school, to the dreary, grey, unmagical life in their own world, and Lucy LONGS for Narnia, for the colors and the smells and the animals and people and for ASLAN. She longs for Narnia, where she feels HERSELF.

But it’s not like that for Susan. Everything is DIFFERENT for Susan, so it’s hard for her to understand. But she HATES the lonely ring to her sister’s voice, hates how everyone seems to reduce Susan to her looks, not her kindness or her smarts or her sensibilities. Even if her playing at being a grown-up is IRRITATING at times, she’s still more thoughtful than the rest of them, most of the time, and Lucy KNOWS there’s more to her sister than a pretty face. 

So she blows a lock of hair out of her face and gazes at Susan, hoping her eyes convey her meaning: I’m here. I’m listening.

"Listen, Faith", Tara almost whined against the phone, it being pinned between her ear and shoulder, as she continued to fold her clothes neatly inside the suitcase. "Can you at least think about what I'm going to ask you before rejecting it for good?", pleaded, not quite sure if Faith would like it or not.

Since Sunnydale became a huge hole in California, Tara has been traveling and moving non stop. If she was needed, she wouldn't think twice before taking the next flight. Giles called her the day before and asked the witch to fly to Arizona, meet the head sister of The Motte Coven in Tucson. Something about getting information face to face on an ancient demony spirit. He didn't give her much to work with, but Tara was starting to get used to it. She would know more when she get there, in any case.

"I'm leaving tomorrow morning and I really want to go to the Renaissance Fair tonight. Would you like to go with me?", she asked, a hint of hope and expectation in her tone, wishing she could win Faith to go to the fair with her without having to beg too much. Uncertain about the slayer wanting to be around people in costumes, talking in a really funny historical way. Yet, it was a good excuse to spend some time with the brunette before she left for a few days. Or more than that, she wasn't sure. It kinda made her feel sad to just part ways with Faith after their time together for the past weeks since she moved from Cleveland. Tara was just starting to get used to the hard head stubborn slayer and seeing her almost daily was rather interesting and pleasant.

The sight of a naked Willow sleeping peacefully was adorably cute for Tara to disturb, but she couldn’t help herself. Also because the scene was in addition irresistibly sexy for her to just watch. After getting out of her morning shower in her robe, she crawled into the bed, distributing tons of kisses along her girlfriend’s body where the sheet wasn’t covering anymore, in a way to wake her up.

“Willow?”, she whispered while pressing softly her lips against the redhead’s, breathing gently. The back of her fingers caressed her love’s cheek as a big happy smile was growing on her face. “Wake up so I can keep on kissing you”, she delivered it in a quiet yet husky tone, waiting for bright green eyes to greet her.
