glancing up from where he was crouched, he offered a twitchy smile. there was no doubt about that last part. still, he turned back to the tangle of wires and molten circuits in front of him, hoping it wouldn't come to blows with anyone— at least not yet. the room was oddly quiet.
“ well that’s reassuring, ” he said, the often humourous tone of his voice had a hint of honesty this time. “ and perhaps a bit intimidating. ”
they needed to get out of that planet's orbit as soon as possible. the magnetic field was strong and not only was it damaging the navigation system, but it also messed with the crew’s head. luckily for everyone, the chief engineer still had his wits about him.
“ i appreciate it, ” he muttered, briefly looking at her before getting back to the task at hand.
