should i watch all of law and order svu, just the episodes with raúl or none of them?
umm well it depends how willing u are to stand constant copaganda and mediocre prodedural writing. i Do think if ur not looking for a masterpiece it’s certainly decent like its a long running show for a reason but also its not good. but also barba is genuinely one of the characters of all time. and its sort of that he’s trapped in a mediocre show but also he’s so good bc of the limitations that involves i think.
so that said i personally would NOT recommend watching all of it/starting from the beginning like. i’ve gone back to the beginning to watch some episodes now that i’m attached to liv but that is way too many seasons of a show which is generally uninterested in the character development of its main cast for me lmaoo.
barba’s first episode is s14e3 (it’s called twenty five acts & it’s after a two part season intro in case the numbering is weird wherever you watch it) and i WOULD recommend that. it’s worth it. like there r a few other barba episodes that r equally good but nothing actually tops his intro. whenever i watched svu, i watched all of the seasons with him (not just his episodes) but i don’t think you would really miss out on Anything by only watching his episodes if u watch that and like it :)
