Entertain Me || Minki & Victoria
Yet again, Victoria was ditching her much hated job at the circus. At the moment she was supposed to be giving customers a few cliche lines and reciting their thoughts, maybe even reminding them of a few sins they had committed simply for the sake of earning more of a reaction. But instead of her doing her appointed duty, she had skipped out early again, no doubt upsetting the long of people that still stretched outside her tent. But it wasn't as though she cared. The next day there would be plenty more people to read, so staying there now was not costing her any once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. The girls the next night would be exactly like the shallow, codependent, backstabbing bitches that were there now, and the men would be the same rude, arrogant perverts. There seemed to be no break from that infamous tradition. While yes, there was the possibility of her getting in trouble with the leader for abandoning her job without a good excuse, but as always she could not find herself able to care or fret over it. What was the worst that he could do to her anyway? Kick her out? Deduct pay? Either one did not worry her very much, so there was almost no incentive for her to stay when she really just wanted to pack up for the night and leave.
Pulling the deep violent veil away from her soft features, Victoria neatly folded the gauzy material, and finding a certain lack of pockets in her strange garment, simply slipped it down the top of her outfit, using her bra as a pocket (no matter how poor and tasteless that sounded.) Fixing a few stray blonde locks, she took to walking the circus grounds. Everything appeared the same as the previous night, and the one before that, and the one before that. Nothing had changed or even moved except the pacing customers, and nothing entertaining had popped up. Passing a group of obviously intoxicated men, Victoria ignored their foul comments as she changed directions to walk to her sleeping tent. Maybe to another the men's comments and cheesy lines would be funny, but to her they were just plain annoying. In her eyes, it seemed as though every intoxicated man lost his filter and blurted every sad comment that usually only she was exposed to. The blonde rolled her eyes as the group's attention turned toward another woman, using the same cheesy comments over again on the fresh bait.
Not far from the drunken fools did she finally meet something that caught her attention. Over the months she been at the cirque, Victoria had become quite accustomed to the locations of people's performances, even if she did not care to see what their show actually consisted of or who they were. Despite believing she knew where all the attractions where, there was apparently a new one positioned in an area where there had previously been nothing, and whatever the performer was doing was drawing in a decent amount of people. Though she wanted to return to her tent and get some extra sleep, curiosity held a tight grip on her, so she couldn't help but investigate. Absently, she tugged up the edges of her leather gloves that protected her hands, and then carefully skirted around some of the gathered spectators to view what was happening, and who was performing. Luckily no one came into contact with her skin, so she was able to concentrate on what she was watching, her expression blank as she waited to be impressed.
