Thursday Check in Week 9
At the moment, I have not yet started my Content Analysis Draft. I am in the planning phase and trying to put together ideas of how I want my project to be presented. I am leaning towards powerpoint because it is easier to display data with graphs that also include explanations of the data on the same slide. Powerpoint makes is easy to spread out data to make it more legible to the viewer.

My research question is: How do creators make content that resonates differently with people even though their content is made for the same general audience?
I need help revising this to make it more specific to my project. The three creators photograph and film impressive scenes whether it's using nature, cars, editing, color grading, and different lighting to inflict a different emotion on the audience. Any tips on how I can include these elements in my research question?

I learned that it is very important to come up with a research question before you begin analyzing data. This will give you context for what you are about to read. It is also important to ask multiple questions because it is natural to come up with leading questions that might only use data that supports your previous knowledge of the content.

In Module 4, I learned the basics of collecting and analyzing data in web writing. This will help me in module 4, because I will have to begin analyzing a larger amount of content from creators with a larger following. This will give me more data to use, which will help me analyze the data with more accuracy. It will be different in module 4 because I'll be analyzing more short-form content.

As I'm looking through my choices for what creators I want to use for this project, I am looking for photographers and filmmakers. Specifically, I would like them to all incorporate nature in their art. The audience this content is made for would be artists, art enjoyers, and nature enjoyers. I want each of the creators to have a different tone to their pieces by different uses of color, location, and mood.

Does data driven web writing always have to be unbiased? For example, you could write an extensive article about how an NBA player should or shouldn't be considered for MVP, but only inclkude statistics that favor one of the players. I would assume it would just be considered unethical for a sports journalist to do, but it happens a lot.

What rubric should I use to properly revise web writing content? Since any piece of web writing can be different, how do I determine what's good and what's bad? I assume using the rhetorical situation as a guide should help.

Is data driven web writing simply giving insight on data? Or is it more complicated than that? For example, when we look at likes and comments on a post, would it be considered data driven web writing to simply write about why the data is meaningful?
