Since my gardens are finished I thought I'd post some pics I took here in South Jersey a year ago
What my yard looks like now. I'm removing all the crabgrass and planting Clover, Alysum, and Creeping Thyme.

Flowers to add to my garden. I've spent a week or so taking down a tree (with hubby) in my yard, cleaning my side of the garage and reorganizing it, removing a gnarly rose bush, killing weeds and grass so I can plant clover and creeping thyme for a no mow lawn. I carted in 20 bags of topsoil (hubby actually helped with that) to fill in places needed. I'm really tired now! Still not finished but taking a bit of a break! I do have lots of flower seeds to plant soon. Rain tomorrow though.
Flower Power Monday! Iwas preoccupied this weekend to see
So I took a few pictures in my garden today
My lilacs are starting to bloom (I have late blooming lilacs) as well as my Bearded Iris. Hard to see the Lily of the Valley. A couple of my Hollyhocks are hugh and budding.
Flower Power Fridayish
No flowers. We had such heavy rain it beat up my gardens. So I'll share a couple pictures from my travels with my son and family!
One of the strange butterflies on my sedum
Feeding the bees
The crepe myrtle I planted as a small twig in the spring flowered
Flowers from my local park. I actually posted on a Friday!
Flower Power late again! We had some marvelous weather early in the week so I cleaned up my gardens and moved balloon flowers from my front garden to the back. My Crepe Myrtles are growing well, they were just little sticks when I planted them early spring. While in Florida at my brother's memorial I clipped one of his plants bring home. He had extensive gardens. I can't seem to keep houseplants alive so I'm keeping "Uncle Chris" in water. My daughter's named the clippings while I was with them. I put some in my grandmother's vase that my mother always had Philodendrons growing in water.
Flower Power Friday. The Hollyhocks are the only thing blooming in my yard! The rest are some flowers from my travels. I just barely made it to actually post on Friday!
