"Sit up a little straighter, please.." Cole requested, watching his little brother intently for a few seconds before his green eyes went back to his half-filled canvas. He had lots of portraits of his family-- a few of Olko, some of his parents and loads of Zero. In fact, Zero was his default at this point, and he always found some other part of him to admire when the other modeled for him.
For now, though, he was settling for the other silverette in the household since Zero was out. But Olko was squirmy, which made working on a piece of him a challenge.
"Veliki brat, kada će Zero biti kod kuće?"
Cole hummed a bit, painting in some more base colors.
"Uskoro, mislim." They always spoke in their native language when they were alone.
Hope you're damn good at hiding, capullo.

"Cole," The larger snow haired boy tapped lightly at his big brother's face, trying to rouse him. "Brat, bojim se..." Cole was a light sleeper, and Olko knew that-- his big brother was very jumpy.
Right on cue, Cole's bright green eyes flew open, breath rushing into his lungs in a frightened gasp. His heart was in his throat, and sweat poured down his spine... just a bad dream, no more than a night terror. The smallest male lifted his shirt, almost swearing he could feel the burning of stinging slaps and cuts there... but there were only scars and haphazardly placed bandages. He allowed himself to calm, taking Olko into his arms as the younger male sprung at him.
"The dark," Olko said simply, his blue eyes fearful as he pointed toward the open closet. Cole too looked at the closet with a bit of weariness, hugging Olko close. "The dark, to me plaši toliko..."
Cole soothed him by rubbing his back.
"Ne brinite, beba brata... Zero će nas zaštititi od mraku," Cole promised. Zero will protect us from the dark. The silver haired male looked down a the demon still sound asleep, not a morning person like the two of them. He gave his lover a fond smile, leaning over to give him a kiss.
Even that still felt like a luxury to the formerly abused.
