Paralympian recounts her long road to Rio
As a baby with a severe birth defect, very few people could have predicted Tatyana McFadden would reach a podium in her life. Now a five-time Team USA Paralympian, McFadden reflects on her journey as she prepares for her next challenge in Rio. She started her Olympic career as a 14-year-old at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, winning a silver and bronze medal. Twelve years and nine more medals later, McFadden’s Olympic quest continues, inspiring countless others on the way.
