Samael sighed softly to himself as he stripped out of the last of his blood stained clothes, tossing them into the corner of the motel room with an unamused huff.  He wasn’t looking to walk around the rest of the day covered in hellhound blood, better to just get cleaned off as fast as possible before Gabriel came back and started on his rant of being more careful.  Gabriel was truly confusing, being soft and friendly with him one moment, and the next shrugging him off as if he was nothing more than a stranger.  Samael wasn’t sure how he was meant to feel about it, humans were are too complex for Samael to even attempt to understand.

The angel had made the effort to start to search through Gabriels clothes for something he could change into while his clothes were off getting cleaned, his search however was quickly interrupted by the audible gasp that filled the silence.  Samael’s blood streaked face whipped around to catch view of Gabriel’s wide eyes staring back at him.  

“I… I’m sorry Gabriel, I was trying to get cleaned up before you got back… I was hoping you would be out longer.”

After a long day out, the last thing he expected to see when he returned to the motel was a very naked angel. His eyes widened and he slowly closed and locked the door, leaning against it as his eyes wandered over the other’s body.

It was, in no means a bad thing to come back to - quite the opposite actually - just an unexpected surprise. But he noticed the blood and he frowned, realizing what exactly he’d been changing for. Gabriel took a few steps closer.

“While I love coming back to you naked,” he began, “What the fuck happened? Are you alright?”

It had all happened in a blur.  One moment he was putting books on the shelves and the next, he felt a sharp pain on one side of his distended stomach.  Aziraphale didn’t hesitate to call the paramedics and soon he was in the back of an ambulance on the way to the hospital.  The omega could hear words like “emergency cesarean” and “placental abrupiton” as they wheeled him to labor and delivery.

A nurse immediately got in contact with Sam.  “Hello Mr. Winchester, this is county general.  You are listed as the emergency contact for Aziarphale Winchester.  It appears that your mate has experienced a placental abruption and needs to have an emergency cesarean.  We will wait until you arrive to begin the procedure.”
