hes so me when I dissociate for the 46th time that day
But yet thou canst not die, I know; To leave this world behind, is death; But when thou from this world wilt go, The whole world vapours with thy breath.

A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out: An Analysis and Review
So here is one of my top five favorite albums of all time:
Panic! At The Disco - “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out”
This album, released back in 2005, is definitely one of my favorite albums ever, and my 2nd favorite Panic! album. (Vices and Virtues is my number 1)
Favorite songs: Camisado, But It’s Better If You Do, Time to Dance, There’s a Good Reason.., Build God, Then We’ll Talk, I Constantly Thank God For Esteban
I literally hate none of these songs on this album. There’s just some I like more than others, but as a whole I like all of them.
Why do I like this album?
I mean, one album of the year, it has a 57 by critics from 2005. Why do I like this?
It’s simple: Ryan Ross’ writing, the charm, and the whole vibe of the album.
Ryan Ross is probably the best song writer out of most of the band’s I’ve listened to. His writing is complex, interesting, and can be dreamy to sarcastic. I know that the lyrics and the message can be completely thrown away by the sound, but I feel like they equally matter. I’m not going to sit here and lie and just say that “the message is all that matters!!” because it’s not.
The charm of the album is definitely variety. While the tracks seem to be a bit formulaic with the switch ups, and even three or four songs having the same length, I feel that the actual songs themselves with instruments and lyrics have extreme variety. Each song is interesting in its own way, and I appreciate that.
The vibe can range from the sarcastic nature of I Constantly Thank God for Esteban and Build God, Then We’ll Talk- to the emotionally charged mood of Lying Is The Most Fun... and Camisado. Camisado is an anthem for me, and one of the lyrics is my blog title.
This album does has its issues, such as the electronics, the formulaic nature, and more.
Let’s get this out of the way:
I think we can all agree Nails For Breakfast, Tacks For Snacks is the worst song on the album. The electronics with this weird droning makes some people sick. The autotune does not help that. I’m guessing these were part of the stylistic choice, but still. If you’re going to make a song make your listener uncomfortable, this is not the way to do it.
The electronics on some songs seem to be almost completely out of place (looking at you, The Only Difference..) The switch up from rock to this dance electronics is interesting, but definitely out of place. A lot of people said to me that they liked the songs but the electronics ruined them. I feel like that they needed to make them more subtle and blend more. Songs I feel like they did right with the electronics were Lying Is The Most Fun... and London Beckoned Songs...
The formulaic nature is there, with some of the songs being the exact same length. The switch ups are too predictable and after listening to just a little bit of the album, you can easily guess where one is coming in.
Even with these flaws, I still like this album. I definelty understand why people hate it, and why people like it. It’s worth the listen, and if you hate it then go right ahead and turn it off.
Anyway, that was my analysis of A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out.
