So, here’s a question: since I’m writing a fic and Xue Yang may change as a part of the canon divergence (I’m going in to intend to save him from himself. He can be an asshole gremlin as much as he wants but not a serial killer) he’s not going to be blinding Song Lan (leading to Xiao Xingchen being blind), but I want Xiao Xingchen to be blind...if I can make it make sense. I’m not going to force it if it feels unnatural.

My instinct says “Nighthunting accident” but that doesn’t feel right. I feel like I would need details of how that happened, and while XXC is no WWX or LWJ, I still feel like he’s too good to just be taken off guard by a monster or a ghost like that. Plus...Song Lan would be there with him....

The more ideas the better!
