Tweaking Seb’s backstory for my au A Lighthouse Flooded (Sebastian being an immigrant was a friends idea that they have given me permission to take as my own hc!)
I think him being an international student on visa adds another tragic layer to the way his sentencing and subsequent pickup by Urbanshade happened—mans was disadvantaged from the start, failed by a corrupt justice system and preconceived biases against people of color and especially immigrants.
He was never seen as a person, just another statistic…expendable and someone that would not be missed :)
