but i think the beauty of these movies (frozen especially) is that they have two princesses (or one princess and one queen) who don't really know how to act royal. you've got elsa, who's deeply guilty, quiet, has secret magical powers and is not social at all; and you've got anna, the most precious and innocent human being who knows absolutely nothing about being a princess or a queen, because she was never treated like one.

they grew up in a closed castle, with no contact with the outside world whatsoever (which even makes me think of tangled's rapunzel) so they're not really fit for their part.

and the wonderful thing is, they're not "born for greatness". perhaps elsa is, but for the first 21 years (i'm still unclear if it's actually 21) of her life she was nothing but troubled and terrified of her every move, scared she might hurt someone else. she never thought she could possibly be destined for something great. she saw it as a curse.

and anna is just really quirky and pretty much ordinary. i'm sure most girls can identify with her - i certainly do. i may not be as innocent, but i see a bit of myself in that character and i love it that they made an actual princess so relatable to the girls in the real world!

i love disney movies, may they be about princesses or not, i just love them. and i don't care if they're only about "royalty" (which i don't even think it's the case at all, to be honest - even though disney is very famous for their princesses, i don't see any harm in it), as long as the story is well developed and the characters have this much depth as they do in frozen.

this movie both broke and warmed my heart, and that's exactly what i'm looking for. absolutely love it!

Gantz II A Perfect Answer Review

Starring: Kazunari Ninomiya, Ken’ichi Matsuyama and Yuriko Yoshitaka

Raiting: 8/10

Just like the film before it Gantz a Perfect Answer is based on a Manga of the same name. This is the second film and the conclusion to the Gantz Film Saga, after the first films climax we were left with many questions, like the name implies Gantz II A Perfect Answer is willing to answer all of your questions while delivering a film that surpasses the first on every level. Having just started the manga after watching the first film I have yet to see how it ends, the manga is still running in Japan and is nowhere near completion. Shinsuke had the task of continuing the story and creating his own ending.

The film takes place a few months after the climax of the first Gantz film, Kei is now dating his class mate and they are both living with Kato’s younger brother. Kei’s main goal is get 100 points during the Gantz missions in order to bring back Kato and everyone else who has died during a Gantz mission. Meanwhile a woman receives a miniature Gantz in the mail that sends her on missions to hunt Humans, a Detective is slowly on the trail of the Gantz solders,a group of Aliens are plotting their revenge on Gantz and the Human Race, and their seems to be a evil Kato running around, all of this leads to a great climax and a surprisingly emotional film.

One of the Major changes in this movie compared to the other film is the action, there is allot less gun firing and more sword clashing in this one. I found that the action was more exiting (probably because I am a sucker for sword fights) the group seems to know what they were doing this time around. They shoot first ask questions later and surprise, surprise, they all wear their awesome battle suits! There are also some new additions to the team who are more interesting than the group from the first film. I heard that this film was slow until the half way point, but I found this film to be engaging throughout the whole movie, I never lost my attention and I started to care for the group this time around.

With the more intriguing plot, and better action sequences this felt like a completely different movie than the other one. I think if you were to watch this film on its self you would like it allot more than the other film but I would recommend watching both movies in one sitting. The two movies are supposed to be one big production the first film setting up the conflict and the second one being the big climatic showdown between mankind and aliens. It would run to almost around 4 hours to watch both but it is well worth it because the Gantz movies are very entertaining and will pike you’re interest to the bloody violent manga series.

If you have read the manga I would recommend sitting this one out if you’re expecting a film that is 100% truthful to the source material. Even my opinion might change after I have read the manga series, I think if someone was to watch this movie after reading the manga they might feel like I did after I watched Death Note the Last Name, but Gantz is a pretty good movie to sit down if you’re in the mood for some good Asian action.
