Inktober Day 8...
I'll Steal it
NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW
Runabout
It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon; the sun was shining, the birds were chirping, I was escaping with a bag of Unicorn Energy, and not a single cloud in the sky.
Long story short, due to an “incident”, my tin can fortress is in need of repairs, and I really don’t like using different cans for it. So I did the most logical thing; I stole as many cans as I can from the manufacturer. When I infiltrated the house, however, I was confronted by a cute grey dragon, far from the ferocious type that most are familiar with. He didn’t seem too worried about me being there, until I told him that I was stealing about 101 cans of Unicorn Energy.
So in the midst of my escape through town, I was able to duck down into a dark alleyway. But one does not simply escape a dragon. He was sniffing around, searching for any clues to my whereabouts. I needed an escape. That’s when I heard a roaring sound in the streets. I peeked out of the alleyway, only to catch a glimpse of a yellow, elongated vehicle. It was only when it slowed down when I realized what it was; a banana shaped runabout. And in it was none other than Banana Pie, the unicorn purveyor of fruits from plants of the genus Musa. You know; bananas. He sells bananas and banana accessories.
But other than bananas, he gave me an idea for my escape. I stealthily searched the street, avoiding the eye of the dragon, until I finally came across an unmanned runabout. I’ll steal it! Nopony will ever know!
I’ve always wanted to say that out loud. And I did. And the dragon heard. With a ferocity in his eyes, he unfolded his not-so-mighty wings and took flight, heading straight in my direction. I jumped in the vehicle, and wouldn’t you know it, keys!
I made my escape! That is until I drove straight into the side of a building. The bright day slowly faded away, the sun’s warmth turned cold, and my thoughts soon grew silent.
I think I messed up.
