Okay I have to say it. Every time I see a depiction of Batman's origin in his parents being killed, specifically the consistent feature of his mother Martha's pearl necklace being broken and the pearls scattering... If they were as well-off as they supposedly were, the pearls would have been real and thus there would have been knots between each pearl that would have prevented that scattering. Gets me every time. End gripe.
