DCLA QUESTION OF THE WEEK!
It's vacation times. Northern hemisphere has summer vacation and I know southern hemisphere has winter vacation, or at least something similar to it depending on the country. July in general is a big vacation month for many. So, for fun, let's send the dcla characters on vacation to another country. I'm thinking we'll send the entire big friendgroup, but you can of course pick just a smaller group if you so choose. They can travel anywhere in the world... where would you send them? And why? What do you think they're up to there?
Would you send them to a country nearby, or across the world? Would you send them to a very specific city in the world, perhaps?
(this is semi-based on esp us nordic people who like to write fics about the dcla characters randomly travelling to the nordic countries and look at our cities and tourist attractions and stuff. I also once sent the SL characters to Gran Canaria because I personally had been there myself lmao)
OHHHH this is such an interesting question. I have a lot of ideas so please bare with me.
Considering Luna & Simon showed Cancun to their friends and Diego showed Spain to Leon, Francesca and Violetta I want all the other characters that aren't from Argentina to show their friends their home countries.
Jim and Yam in Spain: In the first episode of S1 and in the promotional clips they did for S2 they said they spent their vacation together and in S1 they travelled (I don't think they said where) so wouldn't it be nice if Yam was meeting more of Jim's culture and family.
Francesca and Vilu in Italy: At first it would be really hard to convince German to let Vilu travel on "her own" (she's with Fran, but we all know how overprotective German can get) to another country, let alone another continent. But once they managed to do so they have the time of their lives, I can see Francesca teaching her a little bit of Italian, taking her to the best music/art places, secret restaurant only locals know, etc. They might even meet Fede who tags along for a little while and the three of them have crazy adventures.
Leon & the boys in Mexico: In the first season it's clear Andres and Leon had a closer bonds so I think they could be either childhood friends or high school friends (I know the Studio took kids that were high school aged, but I think the story makes the most sense if it was a type of university dedicated only to art), so I can see them taking vacation there when they were younger. Later on when they form the boy band they take trips around the world to explore where they all grew up (Leon Mexico, Brouduey Brazil, later on Fede Italy and, Diego in spain with the rest of the boys ). He makes sure the experience the true Mexican life and takes them every where that is emblematic part of the Mexican culture. I don't know if you've ever heard the tik tok audio that goes like "The egyptians believed that the most significant thing you could do in your life was die…" Leon is like that. He is telling facts left and right and is super proud of his country and origins.
Ramiro, Gaston and Matteo in Chile: I think at the end of S2 those three went on a solo trip and they had a lot of fun (and got themselves into A LOT MORE TROUBLE). I think it would be interesting for them to see how different the contrast between Argentina and Chile is despite both of them being so close together. Based on my own experience when I travelled to Chile, they might even experience an earthquake and coming from someone who isn't really used to those it can be scary af, so I would like to see Gaston and Matteo's reactions while Ramiro is like "Oh this is just a regular Tuesday :D No need to worry"
Matteo and Gaston in Italy: Those two are SUUUUUPER close and Gaston has put up with a lot of Matteo's BS so he deserves a trip with just the two of them. I feel like Gaston's family sort of adopted Matteo into their own family and often times he was invited into their family events, so Matteo would return the favor and make Gaston meet his entire family and make him make part on every event his family is doing. They are also exploring every last kilometer of Italy, since I feel like Matteo and Gaston have opposite taste/hobbies so they be going to museums, beaches, malls, bars, restaurants, etc. At the end they had a blast and they plan on travelling the rest of europe in the future. Also I feel like in S3 and later on spring break they wouldtake turns travelingto either Buenos Aires or Englandto vist each other and they would go on littleroad trips to vist the nearby cities/towns.
Matteo and Ramiro in Italy: They give of more party and adventures vibes so I think they go around visiting the biggest party spots, renting boats, I've read its common to cliff jump in Italy so Matteo would definitely take Ramiro to do so. If they go in winter they might even go ice skating and see who is better at doing so, OR they go skiing.
Now if we are talking about sending everyone as a big group I would send them to Brazil, mostly because that's one of the countries I've been dying to visit, and also because I can se both groups participating in the Carnival of Brazil. If you don't know what I am talking about the carnival you should definetely look it up IT IS AMAZING OMG I WANT TO GO SOOOOOO BAD. Either way I can see Broudey inviting the whole Studio gang to come as tourist or later down their careers as special artist to sing in festival or something like that. In the Carnival there are floats (acording to google they are called floats but that sounds weird so just keep in mind that might not be their actual name) that are decorated with different themes and infront of some of them there are a group of people dancing in outfits related to the float's theme. Well what if for a random reason the people who make the float wanted to make it skating theme or have different dancers and the Roller team end up skating and making part of the Carnival that be fun!

After experiencing the fun of the Brazilian carnival they might want to have a similar experience and they'd go looking for other similar experiences and go to Colombia to make part of "El carnaval de Barranquilla" (ok sue me, I wanted them to visit my country ;) ) If they are still in a party mood make them all experience a chiva rumbera (Which is a little bus in which you go around the city partying and drinking).
For my artsy people like Fran, Vilu, Gaston and Nina they could go to the Botero museum, the Medellin flower Festival (depending on the "season" they go, we don't really have strong seasons in colombia, but there is a flower blooming season), walk la candelaria and many more.
I know Camilla would enjoy the Tayrona park with her hippie vibe and how natural everything it. I also think Luna and Simon might enjoy it along with Cartagena, Santa Marta and Baranquilla as we do have lovely beaches if I do say so myself.
Since Leon enjoys doing motocross, I think he might enjoy paragliding in medellin.
The boys will have fun in Salitre Magico or Comfama Guatapé Park (which are an adventure parks).
Jim would definetely enjoy Cali which has the nickname of being the Capital of the Salsa as people LOOOOVE dancing Salsa and I know Jim would enjoy learning it and Yam obviously would tag along.
Outside of South America I think it would be nice if they had little tours around Europe. The group could start in Spain and Jim and Diego would be the guides for their respective groups. Then travel to France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, where I feel like Ambar, Gaston, Nina and Leon would take control of the group, the reservations and their schedules. If Matteo or Vilu lived there at some point (considering they grew up travelling they are trowing little bits and pieces of information, anecdotes and fun facts. Finally they would end the trip in Italy where Matteo, Fede and Francesca would be their guides. I would like to include more countries but I think they don't have enough time to properly visit all those places (and in the Roller band's case enough money for their stay to be so long).
Other than that I think that Matteo, Gaston and Ramiro would like to go to Las Vegas, just for the shits and the giggles.
Jim gives me theather kid vibes so I would like them (becuase she is obviously going with Yam) to go to broadway in New York. I can also see Jim being a fan of K-pop so they could also go to Korea.
I also think Delfi, Ambar and Jazmin and Ludmilla and Naty would enjoy going to the fashion week in Milan and Paris.
Considering Leon likes extreme sports lets send him to Australia so he can experience one of the craziest parts of the world.
Despite his apereance Gaston is a nerd to his core, he might even like anime so he might travel to Japan either with Matteo who he is draging along or with Nina who loves the culture. Now that I think about it wouldn't it be cute if Nina really enjoy Sanrio? she is also collecting different Sanrio things and Gaston is bying all types of anime merch.
I had another idea but it slipped my mind, if I am able to remember it later I will either edit the response of just make a comment with it :P
