The first hours of light had passed. Announcement of a gathering meant to celebrate the King's date of birth had travelled, and his wish to have his family reunited in the Great Hall would be fulfilled. Mainly, that was what he preferred; the alliances would arrive earlier, such as the Lords of the Houses of the reign, their families & their sworn protectors, uniting in a small reception held for them before the feast held privately for his bloodline. For his youngest daughter, Visenya, the day would be ordinary, yet with a living feeling as similar as night terrors. Most, if not all, preferred the next in sucession to the throne; no less than her sister and firstborn child of the King, Rhaenyra. With her birth and the years that followed, Visenya had been cast as her shadow. Often seen past by her father and the members of the Small Council. As both had grown into mature women, reality wouldn't shift to be a pleasant one. Viserys would only have a few words for her regarding how she was prepared to find a husband and bear children, and those were enough for Visenya to cut him mid-sentence and leave. That was the illustration of their complicated relationship; with her despising how he'd disregard her, thus resulting in the reign's fondness for Rhaenyra.
There was a hidden contentment in the midst of it all for the thought of the presence of her uncle Daemon once more at the Red Keep; the single purpose for she was remaining at the feast. There seemed to be one from the bloodline whom, despite minor interactions with her & those only being uncle-niece ones, would see her. Though there was the pain of her constant thoughts trapping her mind in an endless loop of torture; telling her his admiration was only for Rhaenyra, just like the rest. Visenya would fight despite it internally, as her own admiration & love for her uncle, farther & greater than the one she held for the rest of her family, kept her committed to be his company each moment she'd see fit.
The feast had begun for the Lords & thus, all were gathered at the balconies overlooking the colorful gardens & the Blackwater Bay. Carrying a cup filled with one of the best wines of the realm, Visenya took small strolls around the large crowds chattering about various topics, greeting them as she passed by, but not stopping to have a dull conversation on throne affairs. Eventually, lavender gaze would fall on the sight of her uncle, standing by the balcony with his sight set on the great river. A warm sensation spread on every inch of her skin. No more would the day be a dread.
"Uncle." She greeted affectionately the second she was at a minor distance from him. Features brightened, eyes softening & lips curling slightly up to reveal a slight smile. "Have none of the guests been courteous enough with you? If they haven't been for the King's second daughter, I'd expect them to be for the King's brother." The crimson liquid filled her mouth as she lifted the cup to sip it as she leaned against the balcony beside him, her gaze leaving him briefly to observe the people around them.
"Does it feel like a celebration at all?"
