A Textbook Example [Kris & Trevor]
It didn't take a genius to recognize that Kalos boasted some of the most beautiful sights of the known world. People flocked from all regions to see the Prism Tower in Lumiose City, Reflection Cave was astounding, and the Parfum Palace garden was to die for.
And Kris spent the first little while of her time in Kalos taking in these sights. But there are only so many pokemon that you can hunt while keeping within the comfort of these beautiful sights. So when Kris had completed her updated pokedex to the best of her ability operating out of the more famous landmarks of Kalos, she set off for the path-less-traveled.
Or in this case, the swamp-less-traveled.
The target of this operation was one (1) goomy, which was stated to live in damp, shady, and swampy areas. It certainly was a quaint little thing, from what she'd read-- from where she was from, dragon types were large and intimidating and menacing. But eh, what else was she to expect from Kalos?
"Awright, come on out ya li'l twerp," Kris muttered, knee-deep in the boggy swamp with her biker shorts rolled up her thigh as far as they could go. She took a few slow steps, each one requiring great effort as she lifted her leg entirely out of the mud to move, before plunging her hands into the bog. She'd been doing this for around ten minutes now, and had only so far managed to find a few stunfisk. But she was firm in her resolve-- she would do whatever she needed to complete the pokedex!
It also probably helped that Kris really didn't mind getting all mucked up. In fact, it reminded her of the river back home. Hell, she'd probably end up spending all day here.
Her hands closed around something and she yanked upwards, shaking the muddy little thing off to get a closer look at it. Unfortunately, although it was round, and the right size, as soon as the mud was smeared off, it became clear that it was no more than a shelmet.
"Bah," Kris snorted, clicking her tongue and testing the weight of the petrified shelmet in one hand. She tossed it into the air and caught it a few times, before cocking her arm back, shifting her shoulders, and throwing the shrieking pokemon as far as she could.
It landed a second or two later with a dull sploosh, and Kris smirked for a moment before setting back to work. Completing the pokedex was serious business, after all.
