The Prince of Rahan Empire. Raised too well by his parents that he became a spoiled child and a proud boy. All through his childhood he had been granted anything he wanted. Being Prince also made things even better for him, where he could say and make fun of people anytime he wanted. True, he had a potential for greatness but that never showed throughout his life in Rahan.

So when the Calling came, Elios, the Emperor of Rahan had to choose a volunteer. Obviously, James was choosen. A lot of things happened in Aether that made James both bitter and happy.

Elves had always been known for two things, beauty and medecine. Beautiful and knowledgeable, Amoria was famous among the grove. Not only that, she was also the younger sister of the High Elf, Elaris. Being his younger sister, Amoria didn't grow up spoiled, but she did grow up being prideful. As it is a tradition to think of themselves as a higher species, Amoria didn't want to speak to anyone who was not an Elf. Each time a representative from Aether came and asked for Amoria, each time she refused.

She was obviously choosen as Volunteer. It was the time when she had a debate with herself, whether to accept the Calling and become a Citizen of Aether, or stay in Meira and keep her 'high' position.

He hated fightings. He was probably the only troll who had a brain. Rapshider was probably the only troll who never participated whole-heartedly in any kind of battles in Agartha. Trolls are very great blacksmiths. They can withstand extreme heat and very strong creatures. And they fight a lot. Rapshider wanted nothing more than to leave Agartha, but the only way to do that is to accept the Calling. The strongest troll will be choosen. Unfortunately, he wasn't the strongest, Tanjin was.

Killing Tanjin one night, Rapshider went to Aether to pursue his only dream, to be away from battles. But what he found in Aether made him, for the very first time, fight with everything he has.

Born from a family of warriors, Valkyra experienced childhood without parents. Both her mother and father died during the rebellion's attack in Arcadia. She spent her childhood in what was considered the strictest, most avoided foster house there. Being the daughter of an honorable warrior, Valkyra experienced pressure to be a good soldier. Training with the best trainers, Valkyra showed no signs of being better than others. And people started to doubt her bloodline.

Until the Calling came, when all 17 year old are to fight each other. It was Valkyra who won and managed to go to Aether, surpassing Jonathan, the best warrior in Aemetora. Training in Aether made her found her abilities and surpass even herself.

Nicholas has seen first hand how someone is consumed by their own magic and enter a state of craziness. Where all your conciousness is drowned by the magic's hunger for more power, in which sorcerrers call it mania. Since then, Nicholas hated magic. He stopped studying, stopped practicing, and tried to delete all kinds of magic in his life.

The Calling came, and 17 year old Nicholas had to join the examination. Unfortunately, he was the only one who passed, and living in Aether opened his knowlege.
