Day 1: Portrait

I’ve asked my followers form VK which one of my elf army they want to see in Elfebruary 2018, and A’luar, my nightborne-servant which I drew almost 2 years ago, won this little competition. She is young and stubborn, but also very quiet. A’luar prefers listening rather than talking.

Hey there! 

You know I thought about it too! But instead of actually cutting their tongues waiters may be silent by some kind of spell which is working only during their service or permanently. Or they're just silent persons because they don't need to talk. Attendants are like ears of their family to which they belong, gathering information from over the great events in the Suramar city.

Also I agree with an idea, which I consider as canon for my character, that “waiters” are not only serving their royal familys as maids (?), but also they are bodyguards and assassins, who are always stand by the head of their family.

They don’t actually need to have any manners while being somewhere else but not in the family house or other important events. I imagine them being raised on the streets, literally fighting for their lives. Most of attendants have no real family members alive so they are adopted by big houses all over the city. Sometimes because of compassion, or, most likely, because of need to make someone do their dirty job. That’s why you may not find those guys too polite.

As for weapon “waiters “ usually use traditional arcane-blades, which they hide under their clothes. I imagine that it’s working as lightsabers from Star Wars universe, where the actual blade may be activated from handle. Also the single arcane-blade may be turned into double blade (referencing to Darth Maul and Asajj Ventress) if the person has the second part of a weapon of course.

While being assassins and bodyguards they need to hide their faces. As for my character, she casts a disguise spell on her face, covering it with the mask which is not easy to take off for other people.
