Logan is amazing, but it happened after a bunch of truly awful movies with Wolverine that people rather forget. 

I always said that I’d love to see old!man Loki in the MCU one day, because he is sooo much fun. But that has to wait for at least two or three decades, if Tom should take that part (which would be my dream). I’d really love for them to revisit Loki and Thor in the future. Older, non the wiser, still fighting their old fights in new ways. 

Again though, for now others take over and that’s fine. It’s painful to let go, but others deserve their time in the limelight. I want Black Panther 2, I want Captain Marvel, I want to see other more diverse and interesting characters. 

I know that I’m apparently in the minority in the fandom in that I liked the way Loki’s storyline ended and I’m surprised by that, because I wouldn’t have envisioned it that way. I was always someone who said that Loki should betray Thor once more to save his own ass. He didn’t and that had some grace and tragedy that was fitting to the overal storyarch of him. I was upset and my heart broke and I couldn’t breath, but that this happened is just down to the movie making me feel. Making me feel, because I was invested in the story and that’s all I ask of.

The Russos talked about it in the podcast that yes, the heroes do act idiotic at times. That’s not something they did accidently, but on purpose. We can argue about that being stupid, but yet that’s basically at the center of most movies: heroes are idiots, because they follow some reasoning that isn’t based purely on logic. It drives me up the wall at times, but I was okay with it in Infinity War.

TLDRt: Yes to old- Loki, but give Tom a few decades to actually be able to play that part. ;)

Trick or Treat

Thank you gift for @dbananza who showed me consideration and understanding. :D

The prompt was Halloween, so I drew up a vampire Tony and candy corn Steve. I chose a vampire for Tony because I had already drawn him as a witch, mummy, and werewolf; might as well complete my monster collection. Instead of the typical ruby gem necklace/brooch, it’s an arc reactor. Tony is carrying his smiling pumpkin bucket, waiting for some treats! 

The idea for Steve’s costume was loosely based on the joke that Chris Evans is shaped like a dorito. Keeping with the Halloween theme, I picked candy corn as the closest triangle shape Steve could wear (even though the candy is a bit more cone shaped). Being thrifty, Steve has his orange pillow case for red-white-blue wrapped candies. 

This will likely be the last of my Halloween drawings this season. I appreciate everyone enjoying them with me!

i don't think it's a GoT joke. it is an extremely tired approach of mishmoshing others' work. and pooping on people in a way that is really tasteless and ALARMING for an adult. you should watch at least once, and watch the end. all that detritus is what's left of her as she is now dissociating like nyooooooommmm out of the real world

no but you’re right, i should watch it for better context on what’s already upsetting me about it. i don’t have the mindset for it right now, as i really am fighting whatever fucking black plague my spouse brought home and my head feels like an unwashed brothel during an earthquake, but i will.

We are used to the world of fanfic, where Loki planned everything all along & suffers all consequences for the greater good. But Marvel always (for all chars) makes some simple emotional motive after some family trauma! We'll have to fill the holes again ourselves which is fine. See yawl on you know where...

Now I would be disappointed and bored as Hel if I were on the throne at last. So

I actually think that Loki being an inept ruler is pretty fitting. That’s the one thing I really like about that decision. There isn’t that much they need to add to that. As you said, he’s bored as Hel. Who wouldn’t? It’s not that he is incapable, in my opinion, it’s just that he isn’t interested in ruling. He wants the merits without the effort once he is on the throne. Why would you want a throne, when you then have to spent every waking hour on absolutely boring stuff? Why not rather bath in the glory of being king.

on a lighter note, then, i wish to confess that i want to cuddle dave bautista.

i want to go get ice cream with him and listen to wrasslin’ stories and hear how much fun he’s had getting into acting, so much fun that the wrasslin’ tried to get him back and he was like ‘no go, having the time of my life. they put me in Marvel! i hung out with Vin Diesel! DUDE I AM IN BLADE RUNNER! my life is gold right now, why would i want more concussions?’

i want to hang out and go see a movie and send his family a home baked cake, and i want to watch gently over him like he’s a baby bird and not arguably the biggest and most jacked dude i will have ever personally met.
