So that bit in your bio where you talk about furry and therian… what is the other stuff. I’m not sure and I would like to learn. I’ve heard of otherkin before but I have no idea what it is. And all the other stuff I’ve never even heard of.

a furry is someone who dresses up as an anthropomorphic animal for fun! You do not need a fursuit to be a furry, but it’s a fun thing to have. I do not have a fursuit, but I have two fursonas: Remey, a blue bat, and Lex, a lemon dog.

a therian is someone who mentally, spiritually, or otherwise internally identifies as an animal or multiple animals. Some therians also have past lives. We all understand that we are human, but if I think about myself inwardly, I am not. Therians often use gear such as animal masks and tails to express their therianthropy, but it is not required. My theriotypes are red Merle Australian shepherd and long-haired Dalmatian.

a Kimonomimi is someone who wears animal ears and tails for asthedic purposes. A Kimonomimi can be alterhuman, but it is not a requirement to dress that way. Think catgirls and dogboys for an example, although you can be any animal as a Kimonomimi. I currently have raccoon ears, wolf ears, dog ears, and horse ears, although I mainly use the dog ears.

an otherkin is similar to a therian, but we identify as a fictional species. My othertype is a vampire, and I identify as one in all ways but biologically.

a kardiatype is an animal past life that does not impact your current life in the way a therian past life would. I used to be a red fox, but I do not identify as one in any way. I have scattered memories and I know that I died before reaching adulthood, but I do not identify as one in this life.

a conceptkin is someone who in some way identifies as an abstract concept. It confusing to explain to ppl who are not alterhuman, but you can think of it similar to a therian just with a concept instead of an animal. I identify as the circus as a concept, but some other examples are Night, Paradoxes, and Darkness (all from ppl I’ve talked to before)
