tell me abt this kaokana fella ( <- does not know who he is )
so kaokana is actually a ship between kaoru hakaze and kanata shinkai ensemble stars. kaoru is kind of a playboy kind of a guy with mommy issues (and daddy issues) kind of a secret nerd and soft guy who doesnt know how to deal with his complicated emotions. kanata is a former god of a whole cult (born into it he didn't really have a choice) who also really struggles with emotions and being human in general.
they are both part of the marine bio club in high school and the OCEANS circle post-graduation and kaoru used to go to kanata's family aquarium as a kid with his mom. kaoru has this whole thing especially in his second year about not interacting with guys especially in such a...soft and kind way? but regularly lets kanata pet him and call him good boy and says he likes it its very cute that kanata of all people is the guy who gets past all those barriers.
kaoru, for his part, goes out of his way to help kanata too in the aquarium event story especially (<- had a mental illness moment remembering that story and the way the kanata cg is from kaoru's pov and its like. the most beautiful boy you have ever seen) and tells kanata he doesn't have to hold all his problems in and that he has friends, including kaoru, who want to help him with his problems.

Shu was torn between two swatches of fabric. Realistically he could afford both and probably find a project to incorporate whatever he didn’t choose, but he’d rather not feed into his fabric buying tendencies.
As much as Shu hated to admit it, he did end up hoarding fabrics and notions if he wasn’t careful.
Maybe…he should get some other opinions on the matter. Mika was the obvious first choice, but in the chance that he answered with something like “Whatever you think is best, Oshi-san!”, he should consult his other options.
It was also later at night in Japan right now, so hopefully Mika was asleep and taking care of himself.
It took Shu a minute to figure out how to work the camera and take the photo of the two fabrics, praying that the lighting was good enough in the store.
Shu: Good evening, Kiryu. I hope you are doing well. Could you do me a favor and give me your opinion on these fabrics?
Shu: [Image attached]
Kuro: yeah sure. I like the one on the right
Kuro: Mikejima said he likes the one on the left more, if that means anything
Shu: Why is Mikejima there?
Kuro: Sparring match
Kuro: He says hi btw
Shu rolled his eyes.
Shu: Well then to make my decision I will need you both to explain your reasoning to me.
Kuro: okay
Almost immediately, Kuro started a call with Shu.
“Hey, Iccha--er, Itsuki. What’s this project for?” Kuro’s voice was slightly muffled by the speaker. Shu could almost make out a greeting from Madara, who must have been leaning on Kuro.
“It’s the final project for the semester. We’re showcasing our personal styles and what we’ve learned. There aren’t very many guidelines, so don’t worry about that,” Shu said. He started rattling off his thoughts on the whole thing, and how it had to be absolutely perfect.
“Sorry to interrupt, Shu-san,” Mikejima spoke up from the other end. A muffled ‘Get back here!’ from Kuro was heard in the background. “But I think you should try incorporating both of them. They compliment each other very well and I think you could do something unique with them!”
Shu paused for a moment and let the line go silent.
“Shu-san? Are you still there?”
“Yes, my apologies. I think you might be right, Mikejima.”
Madara laughed and Shu felt his stomach flip but not in an unpleasant way.
As he was going to hang up, he heard Madara yelp as Kuro must have caught up to him.
“Gotta go Itsuki. Sorry to cut it short. Hope the project goes well.”
“Don’t worry about it,” Shu said, though the line went dead before he could finish.
He’d have to take photos of the finished product for the both of them.
25. What’s your favorite part of the writing process (worldbuilding, brainstorming/outlining, writing, editing, etc)?
Brainstorming is so so much fun but I also really enjoy getting to flesh out specific scenes that I have in my head or that I focus on in my little brainstorming sessions.
26. What’s your least favorite part of the writing process?
EDITING oh my god all of my friends who point out issues in my works for me i love you. godbless
27. What area of writing do you feel strongest in?
I have had people point out that I do dream sequences really well in the past and I think that has carried over into high tension situations which I also enjoy writing and had to write out a few of them in advance for some of my wips because they sit in my head for days until I can get them down. Its like trying to describe the inner monologue of a character in a movie action sequence and its one of my favorite things to write and I think it shows
There is so much fuckshit that happens in that thing. I think its a book and also a webcomic and also a live action cdrama and all of my friends are obsessed with it
