She’s never seen him like this. It was always difficult to picture. It was their society, men seemed to be taught not to cry, that sensitivities were for the women. It was bullshit, and he had nothing to be ashamed of. Not for something so natural.

“It doesn’t have to be fine,” softly, throat clears a bit and the words are repeated, more forcefully this time around. “You don’t have to be fine. Don’t bottle it,”

It’s not what they would want.

It’s not going to help.

It would only make it worse.

3. My roommate’s boyfriend is staying over so can I please sleep on your floor?

Three knocks on her neighbor’s door. First night & already being kicked out of her own room. ( But in return she was promised to be off cleaning duty for the next two weeks, so yes, she let it go without a fight for once ) 

“So, I may need to borrow your floor tonight,” confidence is key, and hers is so incredibly FAKE. Praying that she’s not refused ( not too keen on some of the others down the hall )  “And owe you, my roommate’s boyfriend he, well let’s just say I am not allowed back in there.”

Angie! I wanted to tell you before I told anyone else... but I've been named Quidditch Captain.. dunno how well it'll go considering half the team won't be returning to Hogwarts because of You-Know-Who, but I'm captain nonetheless, so I suppose yay for the little things.

This is so exciting, I would say I can’t believe it but who are we kidding, we both knew you had it in you. That can put a huge damper on things but hey a title is a title. Maybe by the following year this will all be over and you can have a proper shot at quidditch captain, it is something I’d like to believe … Or maybe an underground quidditch league is in order, though that is hardly a joking matter over a letter.

It was another visit, not that Oliver minded in the slightest. At least, Angelina assumed so with his lonely single life in his strange bachelor pad. She was staying over a night that weekend for a well-deserved break ( being captain was slowly leading to more grey hairs and snapping at her friends — and the realization of how much credit Oliver deserved for his own past leadership ). “You know, you could really use an interior decorator. The color scheme of this place is ALL off.”

Angelina did not consider herself an angry person. She had always been, sure intense at times, but relatively calm and patient-ish. But this year came a shift and it was putting her on edge. Did she know being captain would be a lot of work? Of course! Was she dedicated? Always. Could she foresee how stressful it would be?

Never would’ve expected it to this degree.

She had been too hard on Wood. Now she could see that. And she was starting to see the looks they always gave Oliver . . . those little punks! And that was meant in the most endearing sense. They had no idea how much worse she had it though. With the forces of an Umbitch waiting to quickly tear each piece from her quidditch dream team, leaving her with something less than what her competitive mind imagined.

“Weasley. . . “ And not the one she wished she had this news for. “I got some ---” she pauses, refraining from the instinct to say bad. Now it wasn’t that Ron was a disaster, he had the potential he just had to find it along with finding himself and see that it was actually in there. She plasters on her best ‘encouraging captain’ face. Oh how she wishes it was more convincing. “news for you. Seems you have a slightly more permanent spot on the team.”

Oh she did not like the look on his face, did not like the fact he was seeking her out AFTER practice to talk alone. The news was never good when it had to be discussed alone. And with the pattern of news this past month, she knew exactly what it was about. 

“So Fred, you had something to tell me . . . which is hopefully NOT involving Umbridge banning ANOTHER team member from this weekend’s game, which, is one of the most important game of the season, right?” 

Her words are pleading though her tone is already bordering another lecture. Except Angelina didn’t lecture, she spoke HEATEDLY. And so far she had been taking it out on the boys, but now, how irritation was rising up the ranks and aiming higher.

“Word around the halls is that you wanted to talk to me?” Speaking to the brother of two of her closest friends wasn’t that strange of an occurence, not under normal circumstance. But if said brother was her prefect and therefore had some sort of authority over her, that came with a bit more of an intimidation factor. But she hadn’t done anything wrong, Oliver would murder her if she had done anything to jeopardize her position playing in the next game, so she stayed in line, as per usual. “What’s going on?”

“My hearing MUST be failing me . . . did someone actually insinuate that Ravenclaw is going to beat Gryffindor at the next match ?” She’s being dramatic, and WAY too confident. And maybe here it’s best to keep her mouth shut, but competition lingers in her veins and Angelina was not one to shy away from friendly rivalries. 

      Besides, everyone knew the Gryffindor team was looking pretty UNBEATABLE.
