HAGDGWS SORRY A22</3 put so off guard the anon tag was forgotten /silly
anyways uhm. yeah. lemme just. Elaborate.
cw: cannibalism, slight gore, decay/rot. i might make ashle's one an alternative au/timeline instead because he already suffered enough vro
ALSO!!! THESE R JUST IDEAS ATM!!! NOT CANON FOR NOW!! AH'M FIGURING IT OUT MAYBE!!
let me start with Ashle's. uh. so, remember how i said/implied that all the failed people/dead bodies were stored in the same room that ashle was stuck in? rotting, decaying?
would you really be surprised if he was starved, too? maybe it's simply cruelty, maybe they just didn't want to "waste" such a valuable resource to someone who'll just respawn after they die anyhow. whatever the reason may be, it definitely pushed him far enough to find any way to get the burning emptiness in their stomach to go away. especially after the spawn technology already being activated a bunch of times because of it. he physically Could Not Think.
(the smell was awful and the flesh tore easily like wrapping paper. it didn't taste good, and somewhere in their fuzzy head they knew they'll never be able to get the taste out of his head. he threw up afterwards. they couldn't keep it down no matter what they did. it hurts so much. please make it stop. please let me go.)
so uh. yeah. they ate a guy. it wasn't great.
he doesn't really remember this? this was around the early days where ashle elite was alone and was still processing that this would be his life now in addition to going through the trials, and those times aren't really remembered all that clearly by ashle. for all he knew they never ate at all and was just in a death loop till they were finally given something to eat.
i dont think any of the ashlings(other then el¿te, quiet, Yourself and baudelair) knows about it either. champion has a slight theory about it due to some things said by him during the time champ was first bought in, but neither of them had anything concrete enough to figure it out.
(any body that had clear signs of being bitten into or eaten, the trials' holders removed to further fuck with elite's mental state more. and also to research it since something something Spawn Technology seeps into bloodstream or whatever
Yourself either aren't aware or doesn't care that some of them were cannibalized. there's so many of them in there so who. who fucking knows man.)
ashle definitely has some reaction to meat noises and just raw meat in general. feeling nauseous even if they don't fully remember what happened. not being able to handle raw meat in general because of it. bacon n' processed meat are fine, just. red meat in general specifically.
okay, now Cubed's turn.
the Heights were bad. death game for a God's entertainment. food is scarce and violence always, constantly being encouraged by the very nature of the world itself. the Heights itself encourages violence. making the mind fuzzy till all you can think of is hurt and must hurt.
Cubed was no exception.
and, with food being the way it is— with supply drops sometimes not appearing and the Heights being as lifeless as it is (no plants or natural resources that's edible)— people uh. people started using eachother as food. which y'know. sucks.
so, yes, bodies that were left behind (rare) are often ravaged almost immediately. no time to cook it, that would just be time wasted for anyone to jump them.
this also might be a reason Vanity exists.
Vanity works similarly for Cubed to how Quiet works for Ashle, soo.... :3
okay that's all, reminder that these are ideas and that i might not use them for. reasons.
cracks knuckles. hehehee ← knows barely anything about combat initiation, forgive her
Dylan Matthew - He/Him, ???
[COMBAT INITIATION]
— Dylan was an existence that was rare. out of all the normal Dylans, he came into existence because so many versions of himself dreamed of becoming so powerful. it's not something he knows— but there's always something in him that wished to keep living. to just Be. for them. for a faceless crowd he'll never meet.
— he's... lost, when he came to be. only knowing that he wants to live up to an expectation of someone he doesn't even know— or will ever meet.
— whatever! he had a world— his world, dylan's world, the monochrome castle in the middle of an endless, repeating void— to attend to! a lot of the people there seems to view him as king, so he had to be, right?
— started out very childlike. how can you blame him? he just started existing!
though that meant he didn't fully understand why some of the people there just repeats things instead of answering him. why sometimes they'll just stare and restart like a broken toy.
— enjoys epic sauce a lot!! one could even say he enjoys it a little too much... but with him needing very little to sustain himself, how could he ever know the difference? it wasn't like there was anyone to stop him.
this also means he would like spicy food! and be the type to drown their food in hot sauce lmao. whoops!
— he's sorta like an admin in his world!! he can spawn in things sorta like Gmod stuff and just put things together. can't fly though— so he uses his glove like a grappling hook! oh and can jump super high. but that's already a guarantee.
— all the 'bosses' are copies. not like he knows— how could he? he never met a living, breathing person outside of what's essentially NPCs that resides with him.
— despite the people, it's..... lonely. Dylan didn't have a word for it at the time. even as the world itself tries to keep him company, it could only do so much with no way to let him know that it's there.
— then the Player(Bloxxer?) came and ruined everything Dylan ever knew.
— imagine chilling in your kingdom and then someone mf broke into your walls and started massacring everyone they saw. you would be pissed off too, right? Dylan sure was.
yet, we all know how the story ends.
— the Galactic Glove malfunctions, and sets Dylan ablaze. he screams. everything hurts. and as his final thoughts, he prays. he reaches out for the Player. something. anything, he begs. anything to make this stop. nothing came.
at least, that's what the Bloxxer thinks. they have already left. no point in staying to watch a man slowly die when they have much, much better things to do.
in their absence, someone else answered Dylan's prayers.
Heights' Chosen: "Dylan Matthew" — He/Him, Unlabeled/Questioning
[BREAK IN AND STEAL THINGS]
- Cubedhexa22's admin status— the only current 'active' admin— meant that he would have access to a lot of things. hearing prayers— especially to the Heights or Admins, is one of them!
- so when i say he was jumpscared when he heard a prayer— desperate as it was— and finding out it was from a completely different universe? i mean it.
- but who was he to turn away from a cry for help? with commands entirely new to him, he ripped through the (concernedly) thin fabric of reality and stepped into Dylan's World. the sight was as bad as you would think it is.
- within seconds the admin was by Dylan's side, gently cradling the burning man into his arms as the fire gets absorbed into Cubed. the damage was already done, but he wasn't burning alive anymore at least. it still aches.
- for the first time in what could've possibly been years, Dylan wailed with everything in his heart. he wailed, screamed, sobbed until his throat went sore in the stranger's arms. in the end, even with all the power he held, he was still made from the thoughts of a small boy that bought him into existence.
for the first time, Dylan wasn't the powerful figure he was made to be. and for the first time, someone real held him.
- despite Cubed n' Dylan almost being the same size, Cubed managed to carry Dylan with little to no difficulty back into his universe (BIAST). he refused to leave him back there, alone. he doesn't deserve that. no one deserves that.
- Dylan's gauntlet was too destroyed to keep working, including the arm that wields it. it would definitely explode again if he tried, so Cubed simply removed both. the gauntlet can be remade— the arm.. not so much. at least the glove can work as an arm instead.
Cubed made it removable.
half of his face was also unrecoverable— but thankfully that's the worst of the damages. everything else Cubed could help with, medical attention and all of that. it was.. fairly late into the night when Cubed bought Dylan back, but it wasn't like sleep was exactly necessary anymore.
- Triangle eventually woke up due to the commotion and found a half-burnt man on her couch with her husband desperately looking up "how to deal with burn wounds" on his admin console. it was a... tense staredown, to say the least.
Triangle sighs and goes to help. Cubed explains what happened as he hands her the items she needs.
- Dylan lives with them now. there's nothing left back in his world, so now he has to learn how to interact with people and actually be a person and stuff. he.. struggles. but at least there's people to support him this time around.
- got along with SoRetro very well. they're both people who never had a childhood so they're both learning things together. he's not alone. it's a comforting thought.
- Dylan is very glad Cubed made his glove detachable because Oooh my god the amount of times he had to take said gauntlet off because he physically couldn't handle looking at it has happened a little too often.
- learning to live without an arm 24/7 was also difficult to adjust to. many times has he thought that he was more of a burden then anything worth keeping around. Cubed and his small family refuses to let him think like that.
- definitely thinks he owns something to Cubed, even if he says otherwise. so he's slowly learning and teaching himself on how to do chores alongside Triangle whenever he can. man he sure got some self-worth issues huh.
- hey so remember him liking spicy food? yeah spicy food now reminds him of burning alive. so uh. No He Doesn't.
- trying to think back on how Bloxxer/Player reacted is... Unreliable?
everytime he thinks about them, he can't pinpoint what they looked like. or how they acted as he burned alive. sometimes he'll remember them taunting him— their voice inaudible. sometimes he'll remember them staring down at him like he's nothing more then a pest. sometimes they'll chatter with their friends, cheering.
none of them ever attempted to take the hand he reached out for them. none.
he thinks about them more then he'll like.
- if you emote near him, it's On Sight.
(inspired by the many times ah've seen people just emote on him as he dies. that. gotta fuck him up somehow.)
- generally has trouble keeping himself balanced, even before his 'death'. so sometimes he'll just. fall over. rip.
El¿te my beloved... spinning them. the Ashlings were so confused but since Quiet exists, they're not too surprised— or shocked, really.
they all definitely assumed it's another Quiet Situation when El¿te was spotted, only reason they found out otherwise was because of Ashle walking into the same room as El¿te one time and said El¿te immediately disappearing.
but yeah. they clocked that El¿te was one of them fairly quickly. they sorta see him as like... his own person, while also acknowledging that this is a part of Ashle that was left behind in a way. they still feel bad— even when El¿te says that he doesn't blame them. that he chose to stay behind. that he's happy they all made it— that Liam Ashle made it.
El¿te continues to stay behind for their sake.
the Ashlings will try to help whenever they can. well, not Ashle, but that's because El¿te straight up refuses to exist within their infinity. not out of hate— but out of a mourning of knowing that they will never be the same person ever again.
