Well, out of whatever reason, I decided to make an ItaBoard for Nanao Taichi from A3! I’ve been wanting to have an ItaBoard or ItaBag previously but never had a character that I liked enough to do so. This time, idk why but I decided to make one at last. This post is just for me to save the progress and journey of my first ItaBoard ever. Enjoy~

So I bought a pink board which is supposed to be Taichi’s colour, but it ends up more like Yuki’s colour? It didn’t bother me much but that’s my starting point, a clean slate of board.
Well, I bought some gift wrappers to decorate the board, but I didn’t expect to actually cover the whole board. Why did I even buy a pink board for?
I started with the letters for the name. For this, I bought some precut letters and wooden letters for the first letter. I’m too lazy to spell Nanao (actually because it has 2 letter ‘a’ and I’m too lazy to buy another precut letter set) so I decided to go with 7 and o. (For those who doesn’t know, 7 is nana in Japanese so combined together, you can read it as Nanao).
Painted the wooden letters, I forgot to consider that the wood itself is brown so it looks a bit dark. But good enough since I’m keeping the red-pink accent throughout the board I guess.
Finally fixed the letters.
Since it’s a bit plain, I decided to put some stickers and flowers as part of the decoration.
Next, for the rubber straps, I added a chain along the board so I can hang the straps. I decided not to hang any acrylics because I have enough rubber straps to go to. Also, I kept some of the plastic wrappers because I want to keep them clean as much as possible.
That’s how it looks after I balanced the rubber straps position. Also, on the top, I tried to make a rosette(?) using ribbons because I like the cookie Taichi design.
I figured I have enough rectangular badges to go about covering the whole base. So I lined them up and cover one row with the rectangular badges.
On top, I added the visual board because why not. Also added some flowers and stickers to cover the tape mark/stapler bullet mark from the chain.
I decided to collect the oddly shaped badges together and put them in the middle. Decorated the surroundings with more flowers because why not.
So that’s how it looks like now.
The rest was just putting the round badges and I also wrote his name in Kanji along with ‘Mankai Company no Akigumi’. Anxiety is real when I was writing those. I think I’m going to cover the ‘Nanao Taichi’ kanji with other paper cuttings because it’s too close with the rubber straps though.
The rest is fill in the blank. The top looks a bit blank compared to the bottom so I sticked some more stuffs on the top. Draw some shadows for the letters so it popped out more and spammed flowers to fill in the blank among the rubber straps. Well, I really liked how it came out but I still feel the need to cover the kanji.
Better quality picture for the end result. If you realized, I also added the ribbon on the corner for no reason. Put random stickers and ribbons in between to fill up the space as well. I fixed the kanji as I pasted bigger letters. Still covered by the rubber strap though, but I shortened the straps for the middle 2 straps so the kanji is more apparent. I will post an update after I paste it on my wall. Currently, I’ll stop here because I don’t have anything to paste the (heavy) board on my wall.
