The start of something good!
Having started out selling on Ebay and to local craft shops we have decided to enter the world of E-commerce and set up our own website. Having heard different success stories from the World Wide Web we thought that it was time to open up our business to the endless possibilities that the internet has to offer but with these possibilities comes the pitfalls of search engine optimization, social networking and blogging.
The first hurdle was to set up the website which on looking back was the easy part then biggest hurdle is the marketing and getting the website out there. Having being working the software industry I thought I was clued up as to what was needing, boy was I wrong. From Facbook to Twitter, from Tumblr to Blog the list seems endless, then there the forums where I was opened up to just how big the world of crafts was.
Anyway this journey is still in it's earlier stages and hopefully is one that will be a long and happy one.
