Little Mallard Duckling by MelRoseJ Via Flickr: We were totally surprised to come upon 12 little "somethings" bobbing up and down in a manmade lake in a local Park. They turned out to be baby Mallard ducklings which is surprising to see this early in the season. They couldn't have been more than a few days old and as cute as a button. They already knew to swim in the opposite direction of anyone coming near.
