WLtoys K929 RTR RC Desert Buggy - newest A9x9 platform 1/18 car

I already own a A979 and was really surprised by this little cheap, but high performing RC car. Now WLtoys published another version based on the A9x9 platform. Besides the already existing Onroad car, Monstertruck, Buggy and Stadium Truck there is now also a Desert Buggy called K929. I got myself a version from Gearbest. At the moment the price is €66,85 / $74,82.
The version comes as a RTR car meaning, you just have to put batteries in the remote control and charge the car's battery and then get started. Everything else you need is already included.
The car is packed in a nice box with a plastic window. It is pretty secure in there and absolutely no damage was done to the box during its delivery to Germany.
After packing out, here is what you get: The car, the remote control, a manual, a charger and a wrench.
The car looks pretty tough and well designed - except for the way the body is attached to the car, which makes it hard to get to the battery. There are two body parts, first one is the hood. You have to remove the clips and the hood. After this, you have to unscrew the plastic spare tire to reach the clips at the back. After removing them you are able to lift the body which is still attached to the front bumper. After doing this the electric parts are finally reachable and you can get to the battery to charge it.
Don't expect any aluminium parts for this price, but the plastic parts are really stable. If you are still interesting in tuning your car with metal parts, I will show you my A979 later with the metal spare parts I added. There are a lot of hop-ups for the WLtoys RC cars.
What I like is that the gears are secured with a plastic cover which prevents dirt and stones to get between the gears. The build in motor is pretty stron and the car really reaches a speed above 40 km/h.
