KMGNET IS: [CLOSED]

For two years it has been an honor to run KMGNET. I’ve really enjoyed seeing and making creations for Mingyu for the network, but after thinking about it a lot I’ve decided to close it. KMGNET was never as active as I wanted it to be, partly due to having spread myself too thin as an admin, and the other part being that it’s more difficult to gather interest for a network that’s centered around 1 member of a group (it’s just the way things are, I was never upset about this). I could never find the right footing, either: ‘Should I post this?’ ‘Should I change this?’ ‘What if I did this?’ From the beginning, I never really had a definite picture of what the network should be—and that made things difficult. KMGNET will remain up for archiving purposes because I believe it would be a waste to delete it all, especially when it’s a tribute to Mingyu. Thank you to our members, I appreciate the interest and support in the network. I would also like to say sorry to all of you; sorry I could never make this what I wanted it to be, and sorry for any inconvenience this causes for you. And sorry to Mingyu for failing him, I wanted to create the best Mingyu network I could. I tried my best, but who knows, maybe KMGNET will come back one day and we can try it again. As he’s said, I will move on from the good & the bad times and try to “find happiness in the now.” Thank you KMGNET for being a great source of pride & happiness from beginning to end.

Going forward, applications will remain open almost always. Surprisingly, this makes things easier for me, just because with acceptance batches the work piles up and I have to get things out & done by a certain date. So because I’m a full-time college student now time is of the essence, and the fourth acceptance batch coming out tomorrow 11 AM CST will indefinitely be the last. Every application submitted after today will be dealt with privately. This will hopefully also make things easier for anyone wanting to apply so they can do it at their own time!

Isn't it a bit sad to make this network since you're ruling out straight people :/ carats are the most united fandom which is one of the main reasons why I love this fandom so much but don't you think you might cause a division like this between lgbtq carats and straight carats? I have nothing against the members of the lgbtq community at all please don't take this the wrong way and think I'm attacking the community as a 'anti-lgbtq strongly heterosexual' person in just worried about

the division it might create between a peaceful fandom such as carats. I mean no harm I just don’t want to see hatred between our united fandom.

People taking pride in who they are is not discriminatory. Are you concerned about feminism because it creates “division” among men and women? Are you offended by black history month, asian heritage month, etc? If not, but you’re uncomfortable by LGBT+ peoples’ existence and congregating, that is undeniably queerphobic. I appreciate your concern for carats, but the only carat you should be concerned about spreading hatred is yourself.

Furthermore, I believe you glossed over a small bit from our network post: “Everyone is welcome, whether you are LGBTQIA+ or an ally, as long as you are a carat.”
