The Lightning Hero: Raiju Rudimentary Outline For Some Characters And Plot Points Raiju: Translating to “Lighting Beast”, the Raiju is a legendary beast from Japanese mythology. It's body is composed of lighting and takes the form of a white and blue wolf or fox. The beast is a companion of the god Raijin and is often agitated by lightning storms. It's cry sounds like lightning. In a world where superpowers are abundant, superheroes are a dime a dozen, and supervillains come in bulk, you can imagine there is very little left thought to be impossible. But every once in a while, often in times of great need, something truly special comes along. A light in the dark to usher the people forward; A guiding hand to the future; A Spark to ignite the flames to burn away the rot and let the light shine through once more.
