Okay hang on i'm obsessed with this radiantly correct cancer interpretation i just went on a deep-dive into op's work and I can't believe I haven't seen their stuff before??? Thank you for sending me this golden nugget of cancer goodness that is absolutely SCREAMING lee taemin. You can just see his little smirk. His secret... cancers secret... is that they know where and why we are all squishy on the inside, because they live there in that soupy intimate place most of us only hang out in when we're forced to. They know how to thrive there. They know how to get exactly what they want there. Cancers as gleeful loving drowners in the inside soup. They're insane i love them.

Hi op!! Sorry to bother you, but can you maybe explain what was UP with Jongin during WGM? He knew it was scripted right? Right??

Hey anon!! Absolutely happy to talk abt taekai ridiculousness you bet lmao. Jongin’s behavior in WGM is such a good example of how his aquarius placements influence his capricorn sun. It’s also just a knock out moment of his particular brand of Lee Taemin possessiveness. I DO love it :’DD

First some general bg. WGM aired in 2013, Jongin was 19. I bring this up because his reactions can read pretty childish, and while Jongin WAS pretty slow to mature emotionally as a teen and young adult, he wasn’t a kid. So--- at the beginning of the episode he’s pretty in control of his reactions, there is an air of ‘grin and bear it’ about him as he shares a very sincere ~wedding blessing to Taemin and Naeun, that he hopes they will compromise for eachother and seek to understand eachother. As the ep goes on tho, things start to go a bit sideways. He see’s Taemin and Naeun getting ready to do the date-biting ceremony and absolutely Latches onto Taemin’s hesitancy to lean in and bite the date in Naeun’s mouth. Jongin grabs their mutual friend Kwonho and tries to show Taemin how it should be done!!! He should be confident and in control, grab her by the neck and swoop in!!! This is wishful thinking for both of them, and feels important in that it’s him acting out how he /thinks/ they should be behaving about all this fake ass wedding. He chokes though, and can’t actually go through with it, can’t control this situation or his reactions to it. Eventually, the classic, he actually physically grabs Taemin and D R A G S him away from the others, and close to him. Truly stunningly, perfectly, grossly possessive and TOTALLY out of pace with the ep. Clearly a sort of breaking point-- he can’t handle what he’s participating in anymore. Regardless of the fact that it is VERY FAKE and VERY SCRIPTED, his reactions and emotions are very real and he’s overwhelmed by them to the point of taking action. 

On first glance this reaction can seem kind of weird for a capricorn---- a sign of  cool competence. Like you said he /knows/ it’s scripted, so why can’t he just play along... he’s not new to tv or telling a story for the camera? He’s literally just having a very human, gut reaction. Jongin’s moon AND mercury are in aquarius, which is suuuuuuuch a killer combo with his cap sun. Ugh. So much of the typical cap rigidity is tempered by these placements i love his chart so much. UGH. His aqua moon especially gives him this sense of creative freedom and comfort with pushing boundaries ---- you can see this influence all the damn time. He lovessss flirting with unspoken rules or constructs, and has that aqua confidence that even if he’s a little weird, in the end, he’ll be able to smooth it over with his charming personality. And gdi he’s right isn’t he! Just look at that ig post he made with him curled up on some fuckin. turf in the middle of the night----- that is such a classic example of his weird aqua shining through and no one batted an eyelash. He’s used to getting away with doing weird shit on camera. Aqua wants to process emotions rationally—- and sometimes gets labeled unfeeling and unemotional. Especially with moon in aqua I think it has a lot more to do with only feeling comfortable w emotional reactions that make sense why they feel that way. So either he snapped and is literally just reacting straight from the gut, or his mental math about the whole thing actually adds up.

 His reaction to seeing Taemin get “married off” honestly does makes some sense to me— intellectually i think the fact that it IS fake and constructed probably makes the whole situation worse for him. Both because of the content matter- that is his soulmate they’re play acting with-but mostly Because of his own reactions and how much cognitive dissonance there is there. It’s fake, he knows this, and yet he Still wants to grab Taemin and hold him close and make sure everyone knows that Taemin belongs with him. That’s a lot for any capricorn to handle tbh.

hello just wanted to say i love your astrology posts so much! i was curious what ur take is on taemin/taeyong's dynamic? i love their interactions bc it’s so rare to see taeyong act so openly clingy and aegyo-y w/someone.. most of the time when i see him w/others, he seems hyper self-conscious of his position and wary of how others react to him. its nice to see how off-guard he is around taemin and how patient and gentle taemin is with him ;v; that cancer/cancer vibe !!

My impression has been that Taeyong’s needs (emotional and relational) just straight up- are not being met in the NCT grind. He’s a cancer sun and leo moon so goddamn does he have some Needs! He has these intense fits of emotion that can seem random or even funny from the outside (ugly hat? ......cry). His members seem to cringe away from him when he’s soft and expressive. I get the sense that they don’t know how to react--- He’s supposed to be their leader and their support, not to mention their hyung. So absolutely, that translates into anxious repressed leader-mode where you can see his eyes glaze over and he comes off super robotic——he’s just not home anymore lmao. You can tell from his late-night vlive chats though that he IS learning to love and take care of HIMSELF. Cancer is intensely tied to caretaking and seeing him turn that energy inward is SO relieving to me tbh.

If we compare Ty’s support system (??? .... Doyoung?) to Taemin’s (baby of an intensely loving, supportive, tight-knit and demonstrative work family. A lifelong best friend in the industry. A squad of mutual friends to call on.) It’s easy to see Ty is missing that cancer-critical stability and why he is so intensely needy. It really makes sense how relaxed and happy he is to be babied by his superm hyungs--- He can ask for attention and affection freely, and receive it without feeling guilty about his position. He recently mentioned that he’s been talking to Taemin a lot about Life, and that ‘Taemin-hyung always turns out to be right’. That really made my heart warm. He needs that guidance and care so badly, right at the same moment that Taemin is settling into his independence and has that to offer. 

Their dynamic in superm really is such a pretty mirror of cancer’s duality and paths-- Taemin the terror maknae becoming the eldest and learning how to be a good hyung. Taeyong the leader-hyung getting relieved of that burden, unclenching, and learning to accept what his hyungs willingly offer him. Reciprocal tender cancer/cancer support... i love that for them.

taemin’s venus in gemini...Discuss

Ohhh that’s a fun one huh. We have it literally straight from his mouth that he values loyalty and commitment the most in relationships (cough stupid loyal cap jongin) and that it takes a looooong time for him to warm up to new people: ‘it takes a minimum of 10 years to open my heart’. This is uhhhhh PERHAPS nOT what you would expect if you look at venus in gemini alone------- Bit of a slutty vibe. Values fun and freedom, doesn’t want to be tied down or focus on /serious/ relationships, wants to be titillated, wants to flirt and tease. You can certainly see some of these qualities in him! What the fuck that one time he said his ideal romo meet-cute was getting hit by a car? You okay???

Something important abt his venus in gemini is that it’s square (applying) to his mars, which is in virgo. Square aspects signify tension and challenge. For Taemin, that square means a disconnect in what he wants romantically (venus) and what he wants in a sexual relationship (mars). The tension is just turned up more by the air/earth signs the planets are in lmao. 

He might value the principle of a stimulating, lighthearted romance or even feel most LOVED when he’s engaged like that (think about that flamboyant shinee family flirt game ugh)  but uhhhhhh intensity and attentiveness and stability and loyalty is /attractive/ to him. It’s a turn on and it’s what he’s driven to want in a partner. He talks about dropping people that, if he’s busy, would just call another friend to hang out. Taemin, moon in cancer: We’ve talked a bit about how cancer has a hard edge, a defensiveness that is protective and serves a real purpose! In cancer moons, and cancer stelliums, that defensiveness that is /righteous/ in moderation, can become an actual obstacle to connection. Taemin Drabble - Video Chat

You were used to it.

Spending night by yourself, hearing about him through the media, no contact for days, all of its normal.

But what made it all worth it was seeing if face, just for you, through video chatting. This was your time.

“Taemin! Finally!”, you laughed. “Hey! I’ve been gone to long haven’t I? I’m sorry.” Taemin replied. His voice was sullen. “I understand, Taemin.”, you said, trying to console him.

It seemed to have work as Taemin smile into the camera. You missed his smile, unknowingly, you smiled back.

“I have a gift for you.”, Taemin said, his voice chipper. “A gift? What is it?!”, you said, excited. “Turn around.”

You couldn’t believe it! Grinning from ear to ear, you turned around. Ready for your boyfriend to grace your eyesight once more-

Nothing.

“BWAHAHAHAH! Oh my god! Hahahaha!”, you could see Taemin falling off his chair laughing his butt off. “Lee Taemin!! You think that’s funny?!”, you spat. “You think that it’s not?!”, he retorted.

You began to pout. You really got excited. Taemin saw the sad expressions fall on your face and calmed down.

“I’m sorry, don’t be upset.”, he said, trying to cheer you up. His efforts failed though, you were still a bit sad.

“Please? I went too far. I know it’s hard for you.” “I’m okay. It’s okay.” “No. It’s not.”, his tone suddenly serious. You looked up at him. “Taemin, it is okay. There’s not much we can do anyways. I’ll wait for you. The tour is almost over anyways, right?” “Yeah, I guess your right.”

The conversation grew silent. Neither of you were good at handling the distance in your relationship. You knew how this was gonna go from the start. But still..

It hurts. The both of you.

“___”, Taemin spoke first. “Yeah?” “It’ll be different one day. I’ll see you everyday. So much you’ll get sick of me.”, he teased, lightening the mood. “I don’t think I can get sick of you, Tae.”, you smiled. Taemin smiled back.

“You should sleep, ___. I know you have early classes in the morning.”, Taemin said. “No. I’m not sleepy.”, you whined. “You will be tomorrow if you don’t sleep now.”, he added. Knowing how right he was you reluctantly gave up.

“Okay. Good night.”, you waved.

“Night. I’ll see you soon. In real life.”, he said, before closing his laptop.

Jonghyun: Same as Onew, going to a nice dinner. But other than something you wanted he’d be very emotional and gift you a heartfelt song which is better! I think he’d the rent the restaurant out for the night and sing love songs to you.

Key: He’d plan a big surprise party with all your friends. He’d probably act like your birthday wasn’t a big deal all day until the event. He’d gift you with clothes and pretty accessories.

Minho: He’d want to do whatever his lady wanted to do. Whatever she wanted, no matter what. He’d probably not know what to get, and get what you wanted. So he’d just try to get it out of you without being obvious.

Taemin: Would take you out for a adventure! Anywhere that can get you excited. Roller coasters, bungee jumping, etc. it’s known that Taemin doesn’t gift things for their birthday (like Jonghyun got nothing lol) but if you asked him to get you something he’d definitely buy it.
