AA Headcanon/Theory: Pearl’s Twin

I’ve been thinking a lot about Morgan Fey just within the past couple months and something about the Fey Family stood out to me as I was doing so. It’s always two daughters.
Morgan and Misty are the only known children to Maya’s grandparents, and it’s not hinted that there are more. Just Misty, the former master, and Morgan, head of the Branch Family.
Similarly, Misty had two daughters, Mia and Maya, with the intention that Mia becomes master and Maya heads the branch family.
Two lines of family, two daughters.
Morgan is the only one who breaks this “tradition”. She has three daughters, Pearl, Dahlia, and Iris. Now, something to note about them is that Dahlia and Iris were born 16 years before Pearl and Pearl never met them as they were removed from the Fey Family before Pearl was born. So for a while it was just Morgan and two daughters. As expected.
But then the twins leave the family and Morgan has to have another daughter to fill their place. Pearl. But notice how she only has one unlike the usual pattern of two. She’s down a daughter (theoretically).
Could it be that she lost Pearl’s twin sister?
Think about it, because Dahlia and Iris are twins, who’s to say Pearl was also supposed to have a twin? A twin who died in the womb. Now, it’s just as likely that Morgan tried after having Pearl for another daughter and just didn’t conceive or miscarried then. Why must it be a twin?
Pay attention to Pearl. She’s small for an 8-9 year old. She’s small for an 18 year old. She has difficulty reading. You could argue that Morgan mistreated her or was abusive, but I just don’t see that.
Morgan loved Pearl, even if it was just as an asset to her machinations. And yes, she was abusive her sheltering of Pearl, but I can’t see her physically harming her. Why wouldn’t she teach Pearl to read? Shouldn’t a future master have such a skill? Why would she under feed Pearl? Doesn’t she want Pearl to live to be master? It doesn’t add up.
Which is why I believe Pearl had a twin.
Had a twin.
A twin who died in Morgan’s womb. An event that led Pearl being born underdeveloped. Small. Leaving her with a cognitive disability which is why she struggles to read at an age where one generally would be able to. An event that led to Morgan’s cradling of her one remaining, surviving, daughter even more tragic.
How could Morgan risk trying to have another child after what happened to her last two? She has to protect the one she has. It’s this one who will become master. She has to. There’s no one else.
