Maybe it was a little strange to ask her,  of all Servants,  a question about heroism,  but the thought had been lingering on the Lancer’s mind for far too long and he felt like he had to ask someone about it...  She just so happened to be the first person he saw to ask that day.  Besides,  maybe a getting a viewpoint from someone like her would help him with his own jumbled thoughts about the issue.

❛ c'mon man, you gotta be more careful ❜ the blond scolded with thread between his top teeth - gauze between his bottom set. he wasn’t angry at his best friend - hell, ryuji had been through worse scrapes - he understood more than most that it came with the territory of being a hero of justice. ❛ n’ here I thought you had smooth moves ❜ he grinned - a teasing lilt to his excited voice. he balanced one calloused palm against his friend’s bare bicep - instinctively blushing when he felt the pulse of their leader’s blood-flow pump against his skin. man, the things he did for this guy. speaking of - his skin was starting to get a little sweaty because of the heat. despite this, he tenderly prodded his friend’s cuts with antiseptic and gauze until they looked clean. although he didn’t vocalise it - he was adamant that he wouldn’t leave his leader’s side until he was all fixed up. even if the temperature increased by 30 degrees or more. after all, there was really no one - besides his mum, of course - that ryuji cared about more than akira. the guy really did change his life after all. ❛ man, it’s hot in here, why’d ya have to go gettin’ busted up in a heatwave, dude? ❜
